“Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and days of auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we’ll take a cup of kindness yet, for days of auld lang syne.”

It’s true, some people come into our lives for a reason and a season, don’t look back at friends you’ve lost but look ahead to the new ones you’ll meet, glean the good from the season past, and move on, knowing that seasons don’t last, but you must be good to yourself and always be true, and the new memories you make will last your whole life through. When I awoke this morning, I prayed, Lord, make me a blessing to someone today, and he heard, at some point during the day, I heard someone say, ‘Thank you, you are a blessing to me!'(Another Jewel Greer Original)

“From heaven above to earth I come, to bring good news to everyone, glad tidings of great joy I bring, to all the world, and gladly sing.”

“This is the Christ, God’s Son most high, who hears your sad and bitter cry, He will Himself your Savior be, and from all sin will set you free. The blessings which the Father planned, the Son holds in His infant’s hand, that in His kingdom bright and fair, you may with us His glory share.” Thank You, Lord!

“Christians awake, salute the happy morn, whereon the Savior of the world was born.”

“Rise to adore the mystery of love, which host of angels chanted from above, with them the joyful tidings first begun, of God Incarnate and the Virgin’s Son. Then, to the watchful shepherds it was told, who heard the angelic herald’s voice, ‘Behold, I bring good tidings of a Savior’s birth to you and the nations on the earth’, this day God fulfilled His promised word, this day is born a Savior, Christ the Lord.”

“Now, before faith came we were imprisoned and guarded under the law until faith would be revealed. Christ came so that we might be justified by faith.”

But, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children, and because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts crying, ‘Abba, Father!’ So, you are no longer a slave, but a child, and if a child, then also an heir through God. Galatians 3

“O come, let us adore Him O come, let us adore Him O come, let us adore Him Christ the Lord!”

“O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant, O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem, O come and behold Him, born the King of Angels, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!

My brothers and sisters in Christ, you and I have had ample time to prepare a home for God in our hearts. Are we ready? The King is coming!

“Blest be the King whose coming is in the name of God For him let doors be opened, no hearts against him barred! Not robed in royal splendor, in power and pomp, comes he; But clad as are all poorest, such his humility!”

“And why has this happened to me, that the mother of my Lord comes to me? For as soon as I heard the sound of your greeting, the child in my womb leaped for joy.”

In those days, Mary set out and went with haste to a Judean town in the hill country, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting the child leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed with joy, “Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken by the Lord.” Luke 1.

“Purify our conscience, Almighty God, by your daily visitation, that your Son Jesus Christ, at his coming, may find in us a mansion prepared for himself.”

“Heavenly Father, you are the Master of both light and darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for the Christ-child. Daily purify our consciences.” Lord, remove anything from within us that we put before you so that we could receive the promised and long-awaited, Messiah. Come, Lord Jesus!

Today is the Fourth Sunday of Advent and we light the candle of LOVE. May the love peace, hope, and joy, that only God gives to us, reign in our hearts beyond the Advent Season.

A candle is burning, a candle of LOVE, a candle to point us to heaven above, a baby for Christmas, a wonderful birth, for Jesus is bringing God’s love to our earth.
