“It is no secret what God can do, what he’s done for others he’ll do for you, with arms wide open he’ll pardon you; it is no secret what God can do.” I truly believe this.

“There is no night for in his light you’ll never walk alone, you’ll always feel at home, wherever you may roam, there is no power can conquer you while God is on your side, take him at his promise, don’t run away and hide, it is no secret what God can do, what he’s done for others he’ll do for you, with arms wide open he’ll pardon you, it is no secret what God can do.”

Be still and know that I am God, be still and know that I am God, be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

Be still and know that I am God! What does this mean to you this morning? Whatever you are going through, whatever you are in need of, know who your God is, He is saying to you, be still, and know, that I am God and that there is nothing too hard for me; so be still in his presence and watch him deliver you. Then, you will be singing all the day long, be still, and know, that I am God, be still, and know, that I am God, be still, and know, that I am God!

“Tempted and tried we’re oft made to wonder, why it should be thus all the day long, while there are others living about us, never molested though in the wrong, but, farther along we’ll know all about it and understand why.” Keep the faith!

These songs ring so true. ‘When death has come and taken our loved ones, leaving our homes so lonely and drear, then we do wonder, why others prosper, living so wicked year after year; but we are reminded in Proverbs chapter twenty-three and verse seventeen, that we should not let our hearts envy sinners but always continue in the fear of the Lord.”

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws. Psalm 119

“For this commandment is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way to life. We also have the word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.”

Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me. But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:38-42

We devote so much time to things that are not important to God, we get so easily distracted, time spent with God is rushed, we don’t take our time to study God’s word, or just being in his presence listening, and therefore, many of us are like Martha who is spending time preparing for the feast but missing out on the word.

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord God, when I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.”

My brothers and sisters in Christ, scripture reminds us in Amos chapter 8 and verse twelve, that people will stagger from sea to sea and wander from North to East searching for the word of the Lord, but they will not find it. Who has ears to hear the word of God let him hear!

“More, more about Jesus, more, more about Jesus, more of His saving fullness see, more of His love who died for me.” Lord, I long to know more about you, teach me how to walk in your truth.

I want to be more like Jesus. “More about Jesus would I know, more of His grace to others show, more about Jesus let me learn, more of His Holy will discern. More, more, about Jesus, more, more, about Jesus, Spirit of God, my teacher be, showing the things of Christ to me.”

The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but he delights in the prayers of the upright. Proverbs 15:8

If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Psalm 66

Rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Matthew 21:22

“Ask the Savior to help you, comfort, strengthen and keep you; He is willing to aid you, He will carry you through.” Yes, He is able.
