Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the peoples say, “Amen!” Psalm 106:48

“Praise, my soul, the King of heaven, to his feet your tribute bring; ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, who like you his praise should sing? Alleluia, alleluia! praise the everlasting King. Praise him for his grace and favor, to our fathers in distress; praise him, still the same as ever, slow to blame and swift to bless; Alleluia, alleluia! glorious in his faithfulness.” Oh, praise the Lord!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Psalm 103:2 – How could we ever forget when God does so many wonderful things for us?

“New every morning is the love, our wakening and uprising prove; through sleep and darkness safely brought, restored to life and power and thought. New mercies, each returning day, hover around us while we pray; new perils past, new sins forgiven, new thoughts of God, new hopes of heaven. If on our daily course our mind, be set to hallow all we find, new treasures still, of countless price, God will provide for sacrifice.” Thank you, Lord!

“Unless the Lord had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. Our help is in the name of the Lord!” Let us give him thanks and praise for all that he has done for us.

What if the Lord had not been on our side? Let all Israel now say, if it had not been for the Lord on our sides when people rose up against us. then they would have swallowed us up alive when their anger was kindled against us. The waters would have engulfed us; a torrent would have overwhelmed us. Our help is in the name of the Lord! Psalm 124

Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. James 5:13

When we are suffering, we should make it a habit to pray. “Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” Also, when we are happy, we should make it a habit to praise the Lord.

“The Lord is good and his mercy is everlasting.” We must never take His goodness for granted, but be thankful always.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise, be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100

The Lord disciplined me severely, but He has not given me over to death. Psalm 118:8

“Blessed is the man You discipline, O Lord, and teach from Your law. Before I was afflicted, I went astray; but now I keep Your word. My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decree”

My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. Psalm 73:26

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14

You will make known to me the way of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand, there are pleasures forever.

Blessed are those who know the joyful sound, who walk, O Lord, in the light of Your presence. In Your name they rejoice all day long, and in Your righteousness, they are exalted.  For You are the glory of their strength, And in Your favor our horn is exalted. Psalm 89

I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. Psalm 101:3

Be very strong, then, so that you can keep and obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, not turning aside from it to the right or to the left. Joshua 23:6

“My God, how wonderful you are, your majesty how bright; how beautiful your mercy seat, in depths of burning light. How wonderful, how beautiful, the sight of you must be, your endless wisdom, boundless power, and awesome purity!” Does this fill you with wonder also?

“But I may love you too, O Lord, though you are all-divine, for you have stooped to ask of me, this feeble love of mine. O how I fear you, living God, with deepest, tenderest fears, and worship you with trembling hope, and penitential tears!” This song reminds me of my mom. I just love to hear her singing this beautiful hymn. It fills me with more love for her, and awe and wonders about my God?
