If you ever forget the Lord your God and go after other gods to worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish. Deuteronomy 8:19

Lord, you have done so much for me, you have been there for me in the good times and in the bad times, you have been my support when I had no one else to turn to, you have been my strong tower when my faith was weak, and you when I trusted you, I saw your handiwork, and because I know that I serve the true and living God, I will never go after any other god to worship and bow down to them. Thank you, Lord!

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Deuteronomy 6:5

“For I command you today, to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, then I warn you now that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live a long, good life in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy.”

Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14

“When I called, you answered me; you encourage me by giving me strength. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore, my heart rejoices, and I will thank Him with my song. Oh, that men would praise the Lord for his goodness.”

The Lord is my portion; I have promised to keep Your words. Psalm 119:57

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

Surely, the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His loving devotion. Psalm 33:18

Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the salvation of His presence. Psalm 42:5

He has not dealt with us according to our sins or repaid us according to our iniquities. Psalm 103:10

Surely my soul remembers and is humbled within me. Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed; for his compassions never fail. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him. Lamentations 3

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

“Jesus knows all about our struggles, He will guide till the day is done; there’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus, no, not one, no, not one! There’s not an hour that he is not near us, no, not one, no, not one! No night so dark but His love can cheer us, no, not one! no, not one!” Keep the faith!

“God will take care of you, through every day o’re all the way, he will take care of you; God will take care of you.”

“Be not dismayed whate’er betide, God will take care of you, beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you. No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you, lean, weary one, upon His breast, God will take care of you. “God will take care of you, through every day o’re all the way, he will take care of you; God will take care of you.”

Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:16

We are in need of courage now more than ever. Courage to trust to trust in God, courage to stand up for what is right, and courage to move out of our comfort zones to assist those in need; and as we are reminded in Deuteronomy chapter 31, we  should not be afraid, for the Lord God is with us, and he will never leave us nor forsake us. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

“God is working his purpose out, as year succeeds to year, God is working his purpose out, and the time is drawing near; nearer and nearer draws the time, the time that shall surely be, when the earth shall be filled with the glory of God, as the waters cover the sea.”

We are living in difficult times; every day we are faced with situations that makes us fearful, but Scripture reminds us in Matthew chapter 24, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us watch and pray.
