In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway, there is no death. Proverbs 12:28

Look, today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse! The blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God. Deuteronomy 11

“Blessed are those who keep His testimonies and seek Him with all their heart.”

Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, and I will keep them to the end. Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart. Psalm 119

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Leave your simple ways and you will live; walk in the way of insight. Proverbs 9

“Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults; whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse. Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you. Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.”

So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God. Romans 7:4

My brothers and sisters in Christ, so you too must count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus; for now, we have been released from the law, for we died to it, and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit, producing a harvest of good deeds for God. Praise the Lord!

You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:18

“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.” To God be the glory!

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1,2

“The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So, God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body, God declared an end to sin’s control over us, by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. So then, if the Son sets us free, we are free indeed.”

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8

My brothers and sisters in Christ, the mind of the flesh is hostile to God; our desires fight against God, and does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. But you and I are not controlled by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you and in me; and if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. 1 Corinthians 2:14

He is the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you. John 14:17

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek. For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.”

Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way. Proverbs 19:2

God will never give us the things we ask for unless he know that we are ready and able to use them wisely, and in our haste, we get tired of waiting on God and follow our own way, therefore missing God’s way. Know that a faithful man will abound with blessings, but a person who wants quick riches will get into trouble.
