Make me a captive Lord, till I could understand your direction
Lord, many times, we get so burdened with the struggles of life that we become confused, we do not know if we are coming or going. In times like these we need you, we need you to imprison us in your presence, envelope us in your arms, take us to a quiet place, so that we could understand your will for us. Therefore, I confess this morning Lord, that, “my heart is weak and poor until you its Master find, my power is faint and low till I have learned to serve, my will is not own till thou hast made it thine, and I sink in life’s alarms when by myself I stand, so make me a captive Lord, imprison me in your presence, force me to render up any evil thing within me, and then I shall be free.” I will be more than a conqueror. Praise the Lord!
God provides all that we need faithfully
Dear Lord, I am so thankful for your faithfulness towards me, keep me faithful to you in return; for all that I have ever needed, your hand provided for me, you know what is best for me, and you give me my fruits in due season. Lord, teach me to wait patiently on you, show me how to praise you in the midst of my struggles, for there is power in praise, there is healing in praise, there is deliverance in praise, and there is abundance in praise.
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness”
Lord, teach us to put to death all the things of this earth which are causing us to move away from you and your great love for us, and to put away from us all forms of greed, and instead, seek first your kingdom, so that everything that we desire may be added to us. Praise the Lord!

God loves us more than we could ever know
For the Love of God is broader, than the measure of our mind, and the heart of the Eternal, is most wonderfully kind. Souls of men, why will ye scatter, like a crowd of frightened sheep? Foolish hearts, why will ye wander, from a love so true and deep? If our love were but more simple, we should take him at his word, and our lives would all be sunshine, in the sweetness of the Lord. But we make his love too narrow, by false limits of our own, and we magnify his strictness, with a zeal he will not own. Was there ever a kinder shepherd, half so gentle, half so sweet, as the Savior who would have us? Come, and gather at his feet, for our Father’s love and his fondness, goes far out beyond our dreams.” Praise the Lord!
“Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me”
Who are you this morning? Are you the one who previously was blind and could not feed yourself but had to beg? Are you like him? Or, are you him who begs no more? Did a man called Jesus touch you? Say, Praise the Lord somebody! Give God the glory somebody! My brothers and sisters in Christ, when God reaches out and touches you, many will not believe that you are he. When you tell them that Jesus touched you and made you whole again, they will not believe that in the twinkling of an eye, your situation has changed for the better. They will want to know how he did it, but you just shout like the man who was blind, “Give God the glory!” If you believe this morning that God is able, you cry to him at this very moment, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me”, for he reminds us, that if anyone is a worshipper of God and does his will. He hears him. Praise the Lord!

Be still and wait for God’s signal to shout
You may have been dealing with a heavy burden for a long time, groaning under its weight, but, today, the Lord is commanding you to shut up, to not let a word proceed out of your mouth until he says to you, “Shout!” Will you be obedient to God, or will you continue groaning? If you want your walls of Jericho to fall down this morning, be still in the presence of the Lord and wait for the signal to shout. Praise the Lord!
“Come up from the Jordan”
Have you ever felt like you were in the deep waters of the river Jordan? You then call on the Lord for help, and he says to you, “Come up from the Jordan,” and he rolls back the waters of the deep and allow you to cross over on dry land, and you look back at what the Lord just did for you…….Oh give the Lord a praise this morning!
