Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, him shall he keep in his way. Praise the Lord!

Many people are still not clear about the tem “the fear of the Lord”. Many believe that to fear the Lord means to be afraid of him, but, when we read about the fear of the Lord, it means to be in awe of him, to worship him, to esteem him, to reverence him and to follow his commandments. Scripture reminds us, that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. We read in Psalm 24; “Who is the man who fears the Lord?” Him shall he teach in the way he chooses, he himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth, the secret of the Lord is with those who fear him and he will show them his covenant. Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he teaches sinners in the way. The humble he guides in justice. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, to such as keep his commandments.” Dear Lord, I am so thankful that I fear you, daily teach me in the way I should go, keep me from presumptuous sins, and lead me in the paths of righteousness, so that it may be well with me Amen!

Prayers for Everyday Living Award event – Nov. 3, 2013 – To God be the glory!

My aim is to do the work that God has called me to do, so that I may receive the crown of righteousness from the Lord.

Many people I know do not visit my page regularly, because they tell me that the word is too powerful for them, but know that the word is God’s word, and that his word is powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. My brothers and sisters in Christ, I did not choose the path I am on. I have been instructed by God to preach the word, to be ready in season and out of season, to offer words of comfort to those who are hurting, to convince, rebuke and exhort with all longsuffering and teaching. Scripture reminds us, that who have ears to hear let them hear and receive the word of the Lord! For the time will come when many will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires and because they have itching ears, they will run from teacher to teacher, they will turn their ears from the truth and be guided by fables. But, you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist and fulfill your ministry, so that when you have run the race and have finished that you will receive the crown of righteousness from the Lord. I have run the race and I am still running, but my aim is to do the work that God has called me to do, so that I too may receive the crown of righteousness from the Lord.

“All who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution, but, endure, for the Lord will deliver you out of them all.”

My brothers and sister in Christ, serve God without fear or shame, meditating on his word for guidance. We are reminded in 2 Timothy 3, “That evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived, but, that we must (not should) must continue in the things which we have learned, and from whom we have learned them; for from childhood, we have known the Holy Scriptures which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness; that children of God may be complete, and thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Keep the faith.

Let everyone who professes the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed. The Lord knows those who are his, and let everyone who professes the name of Christ depart from iniquity; for in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor, therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.” As servants of God, we must shun all forms of ungodliness, but diligently pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, so that we may present ourselves approved and acceptable to God. Praise the Lord!

We must learn to serve the Lord without distraction.

“While we were sinners, Christ died for us, he purchased our freedom. Therefore, “For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freed-man, likewise, he who is called while free is Christ’s slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men, for whom the Lord set free is free indeed.” Dear Lord, thank you, for giving me a circumcised heart to fear your name, thank you, for putting a leash on me so that I may do what is proper and good in your sight, and that I may serve you without distraction. I ask you this day, to remove anything from me that would hinder me from serving you without fear or shame. Lord, I was bought at a price, therefore, I will glorify you in my body, and in my spirit, which is not my own, but God’s. I was washed and sanctified, justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the spirit of my God, and I understand, that all things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful, so dear Lord, keep far away from me, anything, that will cause a distraction for me in my service to you; for my circumcised heart is nothing, if I fail to keep your commandments. All this I ask in your precious name. Amen.

I will go forth in the strength of the Lord.

“Go through the gates, prepare the way for the people, build up the highway, and take out the stories; lift up a banner for the peoples!” Where he leads me I will follow. I am in the service of the Lord.

Dear God, please walk through my house today and take away all my worries, illnesses, and needs.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, you may be burdened today with the struggles of life, but know that you are not alone, God is in the midst, he is closer than you think; call upon his name, invite him into your heart and your home, for if your heart is filled with worry, your home will make you weary, so allow God to enter the inner most part of you, and trust him for the things you need but which seems impossible, and watch God work his wonders on you and your family. Have a blessed day.

“Teach me your ways oh Lord, and I will walk in your truth.”

“I will praise you, oh God, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name; for great is your mercy towards me, you are full of compassion and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth, blessed is the man who trusts in you, whose strength is in you.” Lord, I would rather be a door keeper in your house, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness, so lead me in a smooth path. All this I ask in your holy name, amen.

How prepared are you to meet your God? The time for action is now.

Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; rend your heart and not your garments, return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and he relents from doing harm.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, the time to repent is now. Do not say I will repent and turn to God tomorrow after I have done this or that, for tomorrow may be too late. Prepare your heart – the rending tomb, where Christ may enter and abide. We do not know the second, the minute, the hour or the day in which Christ may appear. Prepare to meet your God.
