Oh, sing unto the Lord a new song, sing unto the Lord all the earth, bless his name, proclaim his good news from day to day.”

“For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praise, he is to be feared above all gods, for the Lord made the heavens and the earth, honor and majesty are before him, strength and beauty is in his sanctuary. Give to the Lord, oh families of the people, give to the Lord the glory due his name, bring an offering and come into his courts with praise. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness, let the whole earth tremble before him.” Praise his holy name!

He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house. Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure with trouble. Proverbs 15

The blessings of the Lord brings wealth, and he brings no trouble with it. Be satisfied with what you have, trust in the Lord for what you don’t have, serve him with fear, reverence him and he will give you the desires of your heart. For in the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and his children will have a place of refuge, the fear of the Lord is the fountain of Life. “Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure with trouble.” Praise the Lord!

Do not withhold your tender mercies from me oh God, let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. Psalm 40:11

“I delight to do your will O my God, and your law is within my heart”. Lord, your word reminds me that blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the paths of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law meditates day and night. Lord, I am continually in your word for it is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, by studying your laws I gain wisdom and understanding, by daily meditating on your word I am refreshed and comforted, by sharing your good news of salvation from day to day I am encouraged, and because I  strive always to walk in your truth, I know that you will never withhold your tender mercies from me and your loving kindness and your truth will continually preserve me. Thank you Lord!

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the Gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ be made of no effect.1 Corinthians 1:17

“And I brethren when I came to you did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. I was with you in weakness, in fear and in much trembling, and my speech was not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. For since in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those of us who are being saved it is the power of God.” Praise the Lord!

There will be many who claim they were sent by God, but they will be known by their fruits.

There are many who profess to know and to love God, but their actions betray them. “Therefore my brethren, note those who cause division and offenses, contrary to the doctrine you have learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Therefore, I want you to be wise in what is good and simple concerning evil, and the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. Romans 16:18-20

Here I am Lord this morning accepting your call. Send me. Whatever you will have me to do I am willing.

“Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him, yet the Lord called Samuel.” He knew him, he chose him. So too, God has chosen you. What will your answer be?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, Gods knows you intimately. Before you and I were born, he knew our assignment, and he reveals it to us in his own time. If God calls you today, don’t hesitate, say, “Here I am Lord, send me”. Many times God gives us an assignment and we think it is too hard, we think we are inadequate, we are afraid of what others will say, so, we run around in circles trying to get away from it, but God always leads us back to where he wants us to be. God will never allow us to fail on his assignment. Whatever God has called you to do he has already equipped, he has outfitted you for every battle that you will face, and he will walk with you, through all of the dark hills and valleys, through fire and water and no harm shall come to you. Jeremiah said he was too young, that he could not speak; Sarah thought she was too old, Jonah was willful and afraid, and Moses and Paul felt inadequate. What will be your excuse?  We are reminded in 1Corinthians1:27 that God has chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. Oh, glory be to God!

I blasted you with blight and mildew; yet you have not returned to me says the Lord. Amos 4:9

My brothers and sisters in Christ, seek God and live. Walk in the ways of the Lord. If you continue to walk in your own willful way, sudden destruction will come upon you. Sometimes, we see others flourishing one minute and the next they are faced with one trouble after the other. Yet, instead of examining their ways, and turning to God, they continue in their own stead, which leads to nothing but destruction. God speaks to us in different ways, learn to be still in his presence so you could understand. There is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is to his destruction. My brothers and sisters in Christ, how long will you continue to thread in the paths of unrighteousness, how much more will God take from you before you repent and turn to him? The road to hell is paved with good intentions and many travel it. It’s time to get off that beaten path and walk in the ways of the Lord, so that it may be well with you all the days of your life.

. A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, among his own relatives and in his own house. Matthew 13:57 and Mark 6: 4

My brothers and sisters in Christ, Jesus was not welcomed in his own country, and many could not believe that it was him, who came from such humble beginnings, the son of a carpenter who astonished them with his wisdom and mighty works, and because of their unbelief he did not do many mighty works there. What is this lesson that God is teaching us this morning? He sent out his disciples to preach to the people that they should repent, but he also warned them that whoever will not receive them that they should shake the dust off their feet and move on. He who has ears to hear the word of the Lord, let him hear. My brothers and sisters in Christ, God cannot work with your unbelief. If you hear the word and you truly belief that he is the Son of God, whatever you ask in his name and you do not doubt in your heart you shall receive. God has called us all to different ministries in various parts of his vineyard, he said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.”

Thank you Lord, for the situations that brings me to you in prayer, you have my undivided attention.

Dear Lord, I come humbly before you this day, not only because I have a need, but in thanksgiving for the wonderful signs and miracles you reveal to me each day. I am opening the door of communication before you oh God, not only to voice my prayers and supplications but to listen to your still small voice. , I come to you in prayer oh God, confident, that you will hear and answer my prayers. Help me not to get weary, tired, or agitated as I wait for the answers, but, help me to recognize oh God, that you are an on-time God. If I am praying and it seems like nothing is happening, enlighten my way so that I could understand, that if you delay in answering my prayers that it is for my own good, help me to be in tune with your timetable understanding that you know what I need, and most importantly when I need it. So dear God, as I lift up my needs before you, I am confident that my prayers have not gone unheard, and that is why I could boldly say, thank you Lord, for the situations that brings me to you in prayer, you have my undivided attention, so I will be still in your presence and wait for you to act. We must learn to confront our weaknesses rather than avoid them; we can overcome with God’s help.

I have avoided my weaknesses in the past because I was afraid of confronting them. I ran away from conflict, commitment, challenge and so much more, until one day when I was backed into a corner. It was then I realized that fear is a demon and that God can cast out demons, so I turned to God for deliverance. Lord, please remove doubt, fear and insecurity from within me. I know that if I am doubtful that I am like the wind, driven and tossed by the sea, but I also know that if I have faith as small as a mustard seed that I could move mountains, and do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
