Do you seek God’s purpose for your life through prayer? Do you sit still in His presence and wait for him to direct you?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, seek God’s purpose for your life through prayer, sit still in His presence and wait for his direction. We should never step out of God’s will for our lives, because this only produces, confusion, hurt and disappointment, but, when we seek God’s purpose for our life through prayer, he makes the pathway clear. Praise the Lord!

Do you feel like you have been waiting on the Lord for a long time?

It may seem like you are waiting on the Lord for him to answer your prayer, but God’s timing is not our timing, he says to wait patiently and he will give us our fruits in due season, he encourages us to wait patiently, trusting him, to call on him, because he never gets weary or tired, he will give us courage in times of weakness, he will renew our strength, so that we will soar on wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint. Teach us, good Lord, to patiently wait on you, trusting you for everything.

Are you imitating Christ’s humility?

If then you are imitating Christ’s humility, you should do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but rather in humility, value others above yourself, not looking for your own interests, but also the interest of others, and the Lord will exalt you. Praise the Lord!

Are you clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience?

Since we are members of one body called to peace, we should allow the peace of God rule in our hearts, being thankful, we should allow the message of Christ dwell richly among us, teaching and admonishing one another with all wisdom, and whatever we do, we should do it all to the glory of God. Let us daily be clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

If the Lord is our shepherd, why are we still in want?

Many of us say the Lord is our shepherd and we are still in want. The reason is this; He makes us lie down in green pastures, but our restless souls refuse to be quiet. He leads us by still waters, but we refuse to drink. He restores our souls, yet we are never satisfied. He leads us in the paths of righteousness, but our rebellious souls leads us astray. He walks with us through all the valleys of the shadow of death, yet we are still afraid. His rod and staff are there to comfort us, yet we refuse to accept them. He prepares tables before us in the presence of our enemies, but we are not humble enough to sit down and eat. He anoints our heads with oil so that our cups could run over, but many of our cups are empty because they are turned down, and surely goodness and mercy cannot follow us all the days of our lives if we refuse to dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen!

Do you find comfort in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs?

Songs have a way of lifting me up, songs are a sure way to lift God up in praise. If you ever find yourself in a bad place, read a psalm, sing spiritual hymns and songs, and you will find much comfort. “Be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, and making melody in your heart to the Lord!”

How do you know that you are a child of God?

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.1 John 3:10

Do you know anyone among you who hear God’s word and instead of using it for the furtherance of his Gospel use it for selfish gains?

Yes, there are those among us, and Scripture remind us, that they would flatter us with their mouths, lying to us with their tongues; for even though they hear God’s words they do not practice them, for their hearts are not loyal to him, they are not faithful to his covenant. The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouths and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.” Open our eyes Lord, that, we may be able to recognize these deceivers who come to lead us astray.

Do you know that there are those among you whose aim is to lead you away from God?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, do not allow others to lead you astray. We are warned in 1 John chapter 4 of this. “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God; every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” Praise the Lord!

Do you realize how much God really loves you?

God loves you and I unconditionally, he loved us so much that he was willing to sacrifice his son, his only son for our sakes, to die in our stead, to be an appropriator for our sins. If then God so love us and gave his son for us, why are we not loving him in return, but being true to him? It is time to recognize and understand God’s unfailing love for us, and turn to him, for he did not come just to save sinners, but that the world through him might be saved. Praise the Lord!
