What are you allowing to separate you from God’s love?

God displays his love for us in so many ways, he has been with us through the good times and he has been with us through the bad times. What then is so much more compelling in your life, that you are willing to let it separate you from God’s love for you which has no beginning nor end? We should be careful to allow nothing, even death, to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

What is your assurance this morning? Who is your assurance?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, God is our assurance this morning. God is so good to us, He daily showers us with His blessings and His goodness fails not, and whatever promises He makes to us, we could rest assured that He will deliver. Thank you, Lord, for assuring us this morning, that, you are in control of our lives. We will trust you completely.

Are you ready for the coming of the Lord?

“Are you getting ready? Or are you still so fastly rooted to this world with all its pleasures? Would a call to leave it quickly be a wrench at last? And when God views your finished life work will you suffer loss? Or, will you find that you have gathered only worthless dross?”

Have you not yet been washed in the Blood of the Lamb?

Well, it’s time to lay aside your garments that are stained with sin, and be washed in the blood of the Lamb; there’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean, O, be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

“Art thou weary, art thou languid, are thou sore distressed?”

If you are weary, languid or sore distressed, you could find relief at the mercy seat, for Jesus bids you come and be at rest. If you are in doubt about how to find him, look for the wound prints in his hands, feet and sides.

Are you afraid or ashamed to call on the name of Jesus?

Many of us call on the name of Jesus only when we have exhausted all other efforts, because of our ungodly nature, but God is not a God who blames us, but a God who loves us and wants to help us. Therefore, commit your way faithfully to the Lord, then cast your burdens upon him and he shall sustain you, for he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Thank you, Lord!

Will you seek the Lord while he may be found and call on him while he is near?

“Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him. God’s righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe and there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him.”

My brothers and sisters in Christ, what shall we do?

We must seek the Lord while he may be found; and call on him while he is near, we must repent and turn to God, so that our sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Do you want others to see Christ in you?

Others could only see Christ in you if you are truly committed to God. They will know you by your conduct, by your character and by your conversations. All of us who have been saved, have a story to tell, it’s a story of God’s goodness, his mercy and his grace, don’t be afraid or ashamed to tell it to all who will hear. They too will want to know about your God, my God, who is so awesome, and in time come to know him and claim him as their God.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, what are you willing to give up in exchange for Jesus?

Do not love the world, neither the things that are in it, for whoever loves the world does not have the love of The Father in him. Friendship with the world means enmity against God. Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. So today, let us pledge to surrender all to Jesus, all of the world’s goods and desires and cling to Jesus. Let us keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Let us think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. Because the world and all that is in it are passing away, and only the things of God will remain. What will you give up in exchange for a life with Christ?
