Are you willing but unable to work in God’s vineyard?

God is able! There are so many obstacles in our way, too many roadblocks that need to be removed so that we could serve the Lord. There was a time when I made every excuse why I could not be fully serving the Lord, but, the Lord was patient with me; He lovingly chided me, encouraged me to stay the course, He showed me that He was able to remove every stumbling block from my life that was preventing me from fully serving Him; and since I know that the Lord is my shepherd, I follow Him and there is no lack in my life that He does not fulfill. Praise the Lord!

Are you seeking the things of God?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, the world and all that is in it are passing away; let us therefore reach for the things of God, because only the things of God will remain. Nothing in this world that we crave is worth it, scripture asks us this question: Why gain the whole world and lose your soul? Let the world keep all of its silver and goal and you give you Jesus. Praise the Lord!

Lord, I just want to say thank you for overshadowing me with your love.

I am walking with the Lord and He is holding my hand; leading me, guiding me, every step of the way. Lord, you alone know the beginning and the end of my life’s journey and because I know that you are in control, I will walk on. Praise the Lord!

How faithful will I be to God!

When troubles assail me and problems surround me, I will ask myself this question; “How faithful will you be to God?” When I am sick, when I am worried, when my world around me comes crashing down, I will ask myself this question; “How faithful will you be to God?” My brothers and sisters in Christ, I’ve come too far to turn back now, so I will forever stand my ground, because Jesus redeemed me long ago and I can’t forget Him ever.

Will you trust Jesus in the midst of all the turmoil around you?

I don’t know about you, but I have no choice but to trust Jesus all the more. In the midst of struggles and strife, in turmoil and pain, God is in the midst, and because I am confident of this, I could sing out my soul, “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word, just to rest upon His promise, just to know thus, saith the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him, how I’ve proved Him o’re and o’re, Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus, oh for grace to trust Him more.”

Are you afraid to call out your brother or sister who is walking disorderly?

Too many of us fail in our duty as believers to call out our brothers and sisters who are walking in a disorderly manner. We laugh at their crass jokes, we condone their bad behaviors, we join them in talking about others behind their backs, we fail to stand up and tell them when they are wrong. What does that make us, believers or hypocrites? Scripture tell us to admonish them, to come out from among them. Are you brave enough, will you continue to do what is good and what is right in God’s eyes?

Is your faith powerful enough to enact change?

We worry, because we underestimate the power of prayer. My brothers and sisters in Christ, do not worry about the things that you cannot control, do not worry about the those things that must be – pray instead. Keep the faith! God is all powerful, He is in control, and if we continue to bring our petitions before Him, He will hear and answer, but, we cannot be prayerful and afraid, we cannot say we trust God and fall apart in times of trouble. We are seeing the Bible fulfilling, and Jesus already warns us not to be afraid, because all of these things must be. Be watchful and prayerful. Keep the faith!

When someone does you wrong, do you repay them with kindness?

Many times when people treat us wrongly, our first instinct is to repay them in the same manner, but, Scripture warns us not to repay anyone evil for evil, to not avenge ourselves, because vengeance belongs to the Lord. Therefore, when others persecute you, bless them and do not curse them, do not rejoice at their hurt, but weep with them, and be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love.

How will you act when you think no one is watching?

Walk worthy of your calling, do good, be absent in the body and present with the Lord at all times; for it is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.
