GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

God, you are working your purpose out, but, please be  merciful to us. Thank you, Lord!

When I am anxious, worried, or afraid, let me find peace in you, oh God. The Lord will provide peace for us through all our storms of life. “Peace Be Still!” (Prayers for Everyday Living)

Dear Lord, you are our peace in our times of storms. You are our peace in times of disasters. In you, we could find peace to overcome our fears; so we will remain faithful during our times of storms. In these our times of trouble and great tribulation, peace be still. Lord, we are living in troubled times; we are living in fear, not only of natural disasters, but especially of man-made disasters. Lord, there is so much unrest in the world, so much anxiety in the world, peace be still. Major catastrophes are threatening our existence. Day by day we are faced with bio hazards, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes; they threaten us on so many levels, but, Lord, we are still here. So, we come before you, oh God, because we know that you will protect us, through all of our storms, we know that we could depend on you for protection. Thank you, Lord, that, we could be safe in our times of storms, that we could be sheltered in our times of storms, that we could trust you for calm, in our times of storms. We know that you rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace be still,” and the winds ceased and there was great calm. We will not be afraid, we will continue to trust you. When we are anxious, worried, or afraid, let us find peace in you, oh God. (Prayers for Everyday Living)

You should know in your heart that as man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you. Therefore, you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in his ways and to fear him. Deuteronomy 8: 5-6

“For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land with streams of water, springs, and deep water sources, flowing in both valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey; It is a land where food is plentiful and nothing is lacking. It is a land where iron is as common as stone, and copper is abundant in the hills. When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. Beware lest you forget the Lord your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you this day. You should know in your heart that as man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.” Lord, give us grateful, thankful, hearts!

I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1-2

“As for me, I shall call upon God, and the Lord will save me.” Do you believe that if you call on the Lord that he will save you? “When you pray, you must believe and never doubt, your faith should never waver and God will always bring you out. You should be prayerful in good times and in bad times; you must be faithful to God always. When I pray and doubt I get confused and disappointed, but, when I pray and believe and wait patiently on the Lord, my prayers are answered. Pray without ceasing and with faith believing, learn to listen to the voice of God and wait patiently for him to act.” (Excerpt from Prayers for Everyday Living)

Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord, rejoice. Psalm 105:3

When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.” For our heart rejoices in You, because we trust in Your holy name. In Your name we rejoice all the day, and by Your righteousness we are exalted. My brothers and sisters in Christ, search for the Lord and his strength, continually seek his face. Remember the marvels he has done, his wonders and the judgments of his mouth.  Praise the Lord!

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3

“I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Lord, all those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. The righteous cry, and You hear and deliver them out of all their troubles. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but, You, O Lord, delivers him out of them all.” Thank you, Lord!

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

“If your enemies are hungry, feed them, if they are thirsty, give them something to drink; for by doing this, you will heap burning coals on their heads.” But, is this something easy to do? It is more tempting to overcome evil with good, especially when there is an opportunity; but, Jesus is saying to us in Romans chapter 12, that we should never avenge ourselves, but leave room for his wrath, because vengeance belongs to him, and he will repay. Our role is to hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good, to bless those who persecute us and not curse, and to never repay evil with evil, but love one another with mutual affection. We should rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, and persevere in prayer. Help us, Lord!

“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, firmly stand for the truth of His word, He shall lead you through the thickest of fight, you shall conquer in the name of the Lord.”

My brothers and sisters in Christ, I feel the need to share with someone this morning, this prayer that I wrote after facing a situation at work. I found myself getting upset by something someone did, and it was eating away at me and I got up, went to the breakroom and tuned in to TBN, and Matt Hagee was on, and he gave me the encouragement I needed, and I came away from that room stronger than I went in, and I sat down at my computer and wrote this prayer: I am going to pray my way out of this situation as I have always done, because to a critical spirit nothing is ever right, and I will not let others control me by what they do or don’t do, and I am not going to quit because God has never quit on me, and if I am walking in God’s way, I will be still and let him do what he has promised to do; protect me, defend me, deliver me. Those who are persecuting me will scatter, because God is my defender, so, I will no more worry or try to take things into my own hands, because the victory that He promised is mine. Thank you, Lord!

Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”

You will be enriched in every way to be generous on every occasion, and your giving through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For thus says the Lord; “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches. But, let him who glories, glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth, for in these I delight, says the Lord.” Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore, get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding.”

Hear my son, and receive my saying, and the years of your life will be many. I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in the right paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble. Take firm hold of instructions, do not let go. Keep her, for she is your life. Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it. Turn away from it and pass on. For they do not sleep unless they have done evil, and their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:10-17
