“Keep step with the Master whatever betide, though dark be the pathway, keep close to your Guide, while foes are alluring and danger is near, when walking with Jesus you have nothing to fear”.

“Keep step with the Master wherever you go, through darkness and shadow, the way He will show, the light of His presence your path will illume, and make all the desert a garden of bloom. Keep step with the Master, don’t halt by the way, whatever He commands you make haste to obey, arise at His bidding, press on in His might, while walking with Jesus, you will be alright”. (Ira Sankey)

“Send the light, oh send it quickly, far across the heaving main; spread the news of full salvation, through the dear Redeemer’s name. Send the light, oh send it quickly, to the isles beyond the sea, let them hear the wondrous story, love is boundless, grace is free”. Thank you, Lord!

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we have a duty to perform, therefore, “Send the light where souls are dying, in their darkness, gloom and night, haste, oh haste, the days are fleeting, and the hours how swift they fly. Send the light, the Lord commands, to His Holy Word attend, go ye forth and preach My gospel, lo, I’m with you to the end. Send the light, oh send it quickly, to the isles beyond the sea, let them hear the wondrous story, love is boundless, grace is free”.  (Ira Sankey)

“Tell the whole wide world of Jesus, share the news from shore to shore, telling sinners of the Savior, let the light shine more and more. Tell the whole wide world of Jesus, praise His name forevermore”. I am telling anyone who will listen about Jesus and all that he has done for me.

“Send abroad the gospel heralds, let them take the blessed light, into every land of darkness, piercing through the shades of night. Yes, we’ll send the joyful message, over mountain, over wave, telling everywhere of Jesus, and His mighty power to save. While we pray for other nations, send them help with willing hand, but let us not forget the home-field, Jesus for our native land. Go, tell the whole wide world of Jesus; praise His name forevermore”. (Ira Sankey)

“O Church of Christ, behold at last the promised sign appear, the Gospel preached in all the world, and lo, the King draws near”. The King is coming!

“With girded loins, make haste, make haste, thy witness to complete, that Christ may take His throne and bring, all nations to His feet. And Thou O Israel, long in dust, arise and come away, see how the Son of Righteousness, sheds forth the beams of day. The scattered sons are gathering home, the fig tree buds again, a little while and David’s Son, on David’s throne shall reign. He shall reign from sea to sea, when He girds His conquering sword, and all the ends of the earth shall see, the salvation of our God”. (Ira Sankey)

Goodness and mercy all my life, shall surely follow me, and in God’s house forevermore, my dwelling place shall be. Psalm 23

God does so many wonderful things for us, but how do we thank him? The Psalmist David was so full of gratitude to God, that he promised that he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Lord, I am confident, that, your goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of life, if I keep your covenant and your testimonies, therefore, let me dwell in your house forevermore.

My soul He doth restore again, and me to walk doth make, within the paths of righteousness, even for His own name’s sake. Psalm 23

What has God delivered you from that you have returned to? My brothers and sisters in Christ, there is nothing that God has taken out of our lives that we need to look back for. I don’t know about you, but, I am learning every day to accept, that anything or anyone that God has taken out of my life, was good for me. When we are overwhelmed by a situation or circumstance and we pray to God for deliverance, and he delivers us, we need to first give God thanks for restoring us, so that we could begin anew, then tell anyone who will listen just what God has done. The man whom the demons had left begged to go with Jesus; but He sent him away, saying, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went and proclaimed all over the town how much Jesus had done for him. Luke 8:38-39

My table Thou hast furnished, in presence of my foes; my head Thou dost with oil anoint, and my cup overflows. Psalm 23:5

Thank you, Lord, that, this morning, I am not just staring into an empty bowl, but looking at my cup that overflows with your blessings. Too many of us are so busy complaining about what we don’t have, that we fail to give you thanks for all that you have already given us. Forgive us, Lord, for our unwillingness to see your goodness in the small cups that overflow, while we keep trying to fill our pots; fill us instead with grateful, thankful hearts. Lord, you have furnished our tables with goodness, in the presence of our enemies, but pride and arrogance prevents us from sitting down and eat. Humble us good Lord, so that you could anoint our heads with fresh oil and cause our cups to continually overflow. All things come from you, O Lord, and of your own we should give you, therefore, we are giving you thanks and praise this morning, so that blessings may abound to your honor glory. Thank you, Lord!

If we say that we have fellowship with God while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true; but, if we walk in the light and he himself is the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John1:6-7

Heavenly Father, help us to foster a deeper relationship with you and embrace the cross to follow you dearly, incline in our hearts the will to share and to pray with each other. Lord, help us to reverence you, for all that you have done for us. Let the message of the cross transform us. Let it be for us a new way of life, so that we may become vessels of you. Lord, move us out of walking in darkness to walking in your marvelous light, help us to know the truth and to walk in it, so that the blood of your Son Jesus will cleanse us from all sin. All this we ask in your precious name. Amen!

When we are sick and in need and ask for God’s help and healing, it’s how we wait that determines how our strength is renewed. We must never get weary, anxious, or tired. (PFEL)

Dear God, we come humbly before you, not only because we have a need, but in thanksgiving for the wonderful signs and miracles that you reveal to us teach day; and we are thanking you today for help and healing. Lord, we are opening the door of communication before you, not only to voice our prayers and supplications, but to listen to your still small voice. Help us to hear the voice of you, our shepherd, and stand ready to answer your call. We come to you in prayer O God, confident, that you will answer our prayers for help and healing, help us not to get weary, tired, or agitated, as we await the answer to our prayers, help us to recognize that you are an on-time God. If we are praying and it seems like nothing is happening, enlighten our way so that we could understand, that, if you delay in answering our prayers it is for our own good; help us to be in tune with your timetable and patiently wait. Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you. But, rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory. 1 Peter 4:13

My brothers and sisters in Christ, what you are I are going through, our light and temporary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that far outweighs our troubles. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. This too shall pass. Therefore, let us fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. These trials will also show that our faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold, as our faith is far more precious than mere gold. So, when our faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring us much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
