I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart. Psalm 40:8

“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes! With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word. Be good to your servant, that I may live and obey your word.” Help me, Lord!

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor sit in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1-2

My brothers and sisters in Christ, scripture reminds us, that, those who delight in the law of the Lord and meditates on it day and night, shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in due season, whose leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he does shall prosper. But, the ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous, for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

A good man obtains favor from the Lord, but a man of wicked intentions He will condemn. Proverbs 12:2

“The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy; no grave trouble will overtake the righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.” Praise the Lord!

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied and years of life will be added to you. Proverbs 9:10-11

Now therefore, listen to me, my children; for blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever, finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.”

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Psalm 33:18-19

“Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield, for our hearts shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.”

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Psalm 119:1

“Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with their whole heart, they do no wrong but follow His ways. Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.”

“Take time to be holy, speak often with the Lord; abide in Him always, and feed on His Word; make friends of God’s children, help those who are weak, forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.” Will you take time today to be holy?

“Take time to be holy, the world rushes on; spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone. By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be; thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see. Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide; and run not before Him, whatever betide; in joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord, and looking to Jesus, still trust in His Word. Take time to be holy, be calm in thy soul, each thought and each motive beneath His control; thus led by His Spirit to fountains of love, thou soon shalt be fitted for service above.” I truly believe that when we take time to be holy, the more of God’s blessings we will receive.

The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious, but the lips of a fool consume him. Ecclesiastes 10:12

“But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”

The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain; but the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions. Proverbs 10:11

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, instead, let there be thankfulness to God. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart.”

Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ John 7:38

My brothers and sisters in Christ, “The Lord will always guide you; He will satisfy you in a sun-scorched land and strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink says the Lord!”
