“O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see? There’s light when you look at the Savior, and life more abundant and free.” My brothers and sisters turn your eyes upon Jesus and walk in the light!

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace. Through death into life everlasting, He passed, and we follow Him there; over us sin no more hath dominion, for more than conquerors we are! His Word shall not fail you, He promised; believe Him and all will be well; then go to a world that is dying, His perfect salvation to tell!”

Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? By no means! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer? Romans 6:1-2

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we should not let sin control the way we live; we should not give in to sinful desires. Let us not believe that it is ok to continue to sin so that God’s grace may abound more. We must count ourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. For through the Law we died to the Law so that we might live to God. Praise the Lord!

But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the Law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. Romans 7:6

My brothers and sisters in Christ, since we who were all were baptized into Christ and have clothed ourselves with Christ, we must live in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And since we have been released from the law and now serve in a new way in the Spirit, let us put off the old man with his deeds, let us not think about ways to indulge in evil desires, but instead, walk by the Spirit, and we will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the Law, or because you hear and believe?

We read in Hebrews Chapter 4 and verse two, “For we also received the good news, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, those who are led by the Spirit understands the Good News of Christ, they believe the message they hear and know its value and are able to experience the signs and wonders of Jesus and know how to give him thanks. It’s amazing!

I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Galatians 3:2

My brothers and sisters in Christ, I could testify that I received the Spirit by hearing with faith, believing the messages of the Lord Jesus Christ and I am convinced that faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Therefore, I will continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that I have heard. Praise the Lord!

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Romans 8:14

“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, and surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Galatians 3:14

“Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith. Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.” What an awesome God is our God!

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. Galatians 3:13

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, ‘Abba, Father’. So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.”

God saved you by his grace when you believed; and you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Ephesians 2:8

“In Him we were also chosen as God’s own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will; so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, So then, it does not depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy, by His grace we have been saved.” Praise the Lord!

Hope in the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it. Psalm 37:34

I have seen a wicked, ruthless man flourishing like a well-rooted native tree, but he soon passed away and was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found. Consider the blameless, observe the upright; a future awaits those who seek peace; but all sinners will be destroyed; there will be no future for the wicked. Psalm 37
