Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful to him, and bless his name. Psalm 100:4

“Great is the Lord, our God, and let His praise be great; He makes His churches His abode, His most delightful seat. These temples of His grace, how beautiful they stand, the honors of our native place and bulwarks of our land! Far as Thy Name is known, the world declares Thy praise; Thy saints, O Lord, before Thy throne, their sons of honor raise. With joy Thy people stand, on Zion’s chosen hill, proclaim the wonders of Thy hand, and councils of Thy will.”

“As longs the deer for cooling streams, in parched and barren ways, so longs my soul, O God, for Thee, and Thy refreshing grace.” Lord, please give me a constant thirsting for you.

“For Thee, my God, the living God, my thirsty soul doth pine; O when shall I behold Thy face, Thou majesty divine? Why restless, why cast down, my soul? Hope still, and Thou shalt sing the praise of Him who is thy God, Thy health’s eternal spring.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, when we come to know God, we experience a joy that cannot be explained; it’s unspeakable!

Heavenly Father, your word reminds us, to seek and find, to knock and it will be opened, but we have been seeking and knocking at all the wrong places, please Lord, show us the way.

“Like the woman at the well, I was seeking, for things that could not satisfy, and then I heard my Savior speaking, “Draw from My well that never shall run dry. Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up Lord; come and quench this thirsting of my soul, Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more, fill my cup, fill it up, fill it up and make me whole. There are millions in this world who are seeking, for pleasures earthly goods afford; but none can match the wondrous treasure, that I find in Jesus Christ my Lord. So, my brother, if the things that this world gives you, leave hungers that won’t pass away, my blessed Lord will come and save you, if you kneel to Him and humbly pray.”

Lord, “As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after You, You, alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship You. You, alone are my strength, my shield, to You alone may my spirit yield, You, alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship You.”

Lord, “I want You more than gold or silver, only You can satisfy, You alone are the real joy giver and the apple of my eye. You’re my friend and You’re my brother, even though You are a King. I love You more than any other, so much more than anything. You, alone are my strength, my shield, to You alone may my spirit yield, You, alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship You.” Help me, Lord!

I will bless the Lord who counsels me; even at night my conscience instructs me. Psalm 16:7

Lead me and guide me, O Lord, in your righteousness so that I may rejoice in you. “I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night, for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. Psalm 63:6-7

You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy. Psalm 63:5

“Young lions go lacking and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not lack anything good.” Heavenly Father, you give us such good things as we need but dare not ask for, show us how to give you glory and praise.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6

“Let them give thanks to the Lord for His loving devotion and His wonders to the sons of men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the Lord will praise Him. May your hearts live forever!”

Sing a new song to the Lord, for he has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; his holy arm has shown his saving power! Psalm 98:1

“The Lord has announced his victory and has revealed his righteousness to every nation! He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.” What an awesome God we serve!

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Psalm 23:5

How great is Your goodness which You have laid up for those who fear You, and bestowed on those who take refuge in You in the sight of the sons of men. You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues. Blessed be the Lord, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was in a besieged city. Psalm 31:19-21

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has placed you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy. Psalm 45:7

The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release from darkness to the prisoners. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. Psalm 61:1-3
