In those days, John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness of Judea, proclaiming, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Matthew 3:1

My brothers and sisters in Christ, Scripture reminds us that, John the Baptist was the prophet whom Isaiah spoke about when he said, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight!” But who is the one who is crying out to us, begging us to repent, to prepare the way of the Lord, and to make straight his paths? God has sent us many messengers, but many of us refuse to listen, and to repent, or to make straight the paths of the Lord; but I am here to remind you, that we living in wilderness times, and there are messengers begging us to repent, to prepare a home in our hearts for God, where he may abide. My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us ask God to remove anything that is preventing, us from making our paths straight for our God.

“Day by day and with each passing moment, strength I find to meet my trials here; trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment, I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.”

“He whose heart is kind beyond all measure, gives unto each day what he deems best, lovingly, it’s part of pain and pleasure, mingling toil with peace and rest. Every day, the Lord himself is near me, with a special mercy for each hour; all my cares he fain would bear, and cheer me, he whose name is Counselor and Power, his protection of his child and treasure, is a charge that on himself he laid; all your days, your strength shall be in measure, this the pledge to me he made.”

I want to walk with Jesus for the rest of my life, no more rebellion, no more strife, doing the will of my Father above, walking with Jesus in love. (JGO)

Walking with Jesus every day, watching and waiting while I pray, He is my guide and in Him I abide, walking with Him is the only way. Lord, I am willing to follow your lead, I will study your word so that I will succeed, I know I am willing so make me able, to walk every day in your way. (Jewel Greer Original)

“Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true, with thanksgiving, I’ll be a living, sanctuary for you.”

Lord, every day I ask you to try me, to search me, to see if there is any wicked way in me, and because you know my thoughts, my rising and my sitting, and most importantly the plans you have for my life, prepare me to be a sanctuary, a living sanctuary for you. All this I ask in your precious name. Amen!

Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:1

My brothers and sisters in Christ, there are benefits to serving the Lord! We must never forget the many benefits he bestows on us. He is good to all, but his loving-kindness overflows those who serve him faithfully. I am so thankful for the benefits I receive every day, for he satisfies my mouth with good things and my youth is renewed like an eagle’s. Thank you, Lord!

“There is a name I love to hear, I love to sing it’s worth, it sounds like music in my ears the sweetest name on earth.” JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!

“Oh, how I love Jesus, Oh, how I love Jesus, Oh, how I love Jesus because he first loved me! It tells me of a Savior’s love, who died to set me free; it tells me of His precious blood, the sinner’s perfect plea.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, it tells me much more than this, but what I could tell you this morning, is that it’s is a name a love to hear, and I never get tired; that name is JESUS!

“I’ve learned to sing a glad new song, of praise to God our King, and now with all my ransomed powers, His praises I will sing.”

I’ve learned to sing the song of peace, ‘tis sweeter every day, since Jesus calmed my troubled soul, and bore my sins away. I sing the song of perfect love, it casts out all my fears, oh breadth, oh length, oh dept, oh height, oh love so full of cheer. I’ve learned to sing the song of joy, my cup is running o’re, with blessings full of peace and love, and still there’s more and more. Soon I shall sing a new, new, song, of Moses and the Lamb, with all the sainted hots above, before the great I Am!

But the end of all things is at hand, therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all thing, have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:7-8

My brothers and sisters in Christ, “Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God maybe glorified through Christ Jesus.”

Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him. Psalm 62:5

“Come, thou long expected Jesus, born to set thy people free; from our fears and sins release us, let us find our rest in thee. Israel’s strength and consolation, hope of all the earth thou art; dear desire of every nation, joy of every longing heart. Born thy people to deliver, born a child and yet a King, born to reign in us forever, now thy gracious kingdom bring. By thine own eternal spirit, rule in all our hearts alone; by thine all sufficient merit, raise us to thy glorious throne.”

Spirit Divine attend our prayers, and make our hearts Thy home; descend with all Thy gracious powers, oh come, great Spirit come!

“Lord, come as the light and to us reveal, our emptiness and woe, and lead us in those paths of life, where all the righteous go. Lord, come as the fire and purge our hearts, like sacrificial flames; let our whole soul like and offering be, to our Redeemer’s name.”
