Do not fret over those who do evil; do not envy those who do wrong. Psalm 37:1

Many times, when we see others who are walking contrary to God’s ways getting ahead, we become jealous and angry; but Scripture reminds us, “Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always continue in the fear of the Lord. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes; for the hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing.”

I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your word. Psalm 119:101

So, this is what the Lord says to his people, “You love to wander far from me and do not restrain yourselves. Therefore, I will no longer accept you as my people. Now I will remember all your wickedness and will punish you for your sins. Woe to them, for they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, for they have rebelled against me! I would redeem them, but they speak lies against me.”

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23

My brothers and sisters in Christ, Scripture reminds us to, “Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you. Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil, and do not envy wicked men or desire their company.”

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:7

O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10

All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech. Proverbs 8:13

Do not boast so proudly, or let arrogance come from your mouth, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by Him actions are weighed. 1 Samuel 2:3

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, and my whole being shall exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, and he has covered me with the robe of righteousness. Isaiah 61:10

“As a bridegroom decks himself with garland and as a bride adorns herself with Jewels, so the Lord makes us beautiful. For as the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all nations.” Thank you, Lord!

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

“The firmament shows God’s handiwork. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse. Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness!

Jesus said to his disciples, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” Luke 12:15

Therefore, I say to you. “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat, nor about the body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. And do not seek what you should eat, or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows what you need; but see ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added to you.”

I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praises to You. Psalm 138:1

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path, and are acquainted with all of my ways. There is not a word on my tongue that You don’t already know. Therefore, I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name forever and ever, for Your loving kindness and Your Truth.”

We will recount to generations to come, the praiseworthy deeds and the power of the Lord, and the wonderful works he has done. Psalm 78:4

“He worked marvels in the sight of their forefathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. He split open the sea and let them pass through, he made the waters stand up like walls. He led them with a cloud by day, and all the night through with a glow of fire. He split the hard rocks in the wilderness and gave them drink from the great deep. He brought streams out of the cliff and the waters gushed out like rivers.” Our God is the same God yesterday, toda,y and forever. Give him the glory
