So, let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9

And our people must also learn to devote themselves to good works in order to meet the pressing needs of others, so that they will not be unfruitful. Titus 3:14

“Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. So, the one who thinks he is standing firm should be careful not to fall.”

Therefore, beloved, since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you will not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure standing. 2 Peter 3:17

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 1 Thessalonians 4:7

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3

For many are called, but few are chosen. Matthew 22:14

“So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.”

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him. Colossian 2:6

“As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2

My brothers and sisters in Christ, “Test and prove what pleases the Lord, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God; and now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.”

What the wicked dreads will overtake him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted. Proverbs 10:24

Because you neglected all my counsel, and wanted none of my correction, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you, and when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you; then you will call upon me, but I will not answer; you will seek me diligently but will not find me since you hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord. Proverbs 1

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

“I, the Lord, search the heart; I test the mind to reward a man according to his way, by what his deeds deserve. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

“For surely, You, O Lord, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of Your favor.”

“But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy. May You shelter them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You. For many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the backs of fools! Proverbs 26:3

Wise words come from the lips of people with understanding, but those lacking sense will be beaten with a rod. Wise people treasure knowledge, but the babbling of a fool invites disaster.  Proverbs 10:13-14
