For I have no greater joy, than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4

Scripture reminds us that, “We should teach our children and grand-children the fear of the Lord. Teach them the commandments of the Lord, all the days of our lives that our days may be long. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. For, I have no greater joy, that to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

Honor thy mother and father that thy days may be long. Leviticus 20:12

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. Proverbs 31:25-26. Do you know anyone who fits this description? I do. It is my mother and your mother.

Happy, Happy, Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you who are blessed to be mothers, who are blessed to still have your mothers with you, blessed because someone who is not your child, calls you mother, and for all of you who had to step up and step in to be a mother to a child you did not birth. May God bless you all today and always.

“Through all the unchanging scenes of life, in trouble and in joy, the praises of my God shall still, my heart, my tongue, employ.”

“O, magnify the Lord with me, with me exalt his name, when in distress to him I called, he too my rescue came. The hosts of God encamp around, the dwelling of the just, deliverance he affords to all, who on his succor trust.” What an awesome God we serve!

How many Red Seas have God brought you through? How many of your enemies have fallen around you? How many stumbling blocks did He roll out of your way? How many times have God saved you from fires that should have destroyed you? Serve Him!

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we are not perfect people, Christians are not perfect people; and that is why we serve a fisherman who mends nets, a potter who molds clay, a great physician who heals, and a savior who forgives. Serve Him with all your heart, and soul, and mind, and strength.

The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted. Psalm 18:46

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

“The Lord dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he rewarded me. 2 Samuel 22:21

“For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not turned from my God to follow evil. For all His judgments were before me; and as for His statutes, I did not depart from them. God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.” Thank you, Lord!

The Lord is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:9

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”

How precious is Your loving devotion, O God, that the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings! Psalm 36:7

They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from Your river of delights. Psalm 36:8

As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I will be satisfied in Your presence. Psalm 17:15

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalm 16:11
