“Hark the glad song the Savior come, the Savior promised long, let every heart prepare a throne, and every voice a song.”

“There’s a voice in the wilderness crying, a call from the ways untrod, prepare in the desert a highway, a highway for our God. The valleys shall be exalted, the lofty hills brought low, make straight all the crooked place, where the Lord our God may go.”

“Oh, wonderful, the gift of the gospel, that each in our hearts may receive, it offers to all free salvation, and happy are they who believe.”

“Once again the Gospel message, from the Savior you have heard, will you heed the invitation, will you turn and seek the Lord? Many summers you have wasted, ripened harvests you have seen, winters snows by spring have melted, yet you linger in your sin.” It’s time for a change. It’s time to accept God’s free gift of salvation, you just need to believe.

We are celebrating the second Sunday of Advent and this week, the focus is on peace. And as we light the Advent candle, may our peace be restored, and may the peace that surpasses all understanding that only God can give, rest on us always.

A candle is burning, a candle of PEACE, a candle to signal that conflict must cease, for Jesus is coming to show us the way, a message of peace humbly laid in the hay. Davika and I wish you a happy and blessed Advent Season.

“Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way. He is a voice crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.” Luke 3:4.

I am encouraging you this morning to prepare for Christ’s return during Advent, because make no mistake, when he comes to claim his own, we will have to give an account of our stewardship. So, if your preparation is not underway, now that you know what Jesus, expects from you, prepare the way and make your pathways straight, because the king is coming.

The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and awesome Day of the Lord. Joel 2:31

“And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth, the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Luke 21:25-26

Happy are they who dwell in Your house, they will always be praising You. Psalm 84:3

“How dear to me is Your dwelling, O Lord of hosts! My soul has a desire and longing for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh rejoice in the living God. O Lord of hosts, happy are they who put their trust in You.”

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to take the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us. Hebrews 12:1

Lord, keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings. Psalm 17:8

“Lord, You have been my dwelling place through all generations. You are my hiding place. You protect me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the schemes of men. You are my hiding place and my shield; I put my hope in Your word.”
