“Help me then in every tribulation, so to trust your promises, O Lord, that I lose not faith’s sweet consolation, offered me within your holy Word; help me, Lord, when, toil and trouble meeting, ever to take, as from a Father’s hand, one by one, the days, the moments fleeting, ‘till I reach the promised land.”
Dear Lord, it seems as though the days are just flying by, but not without the heartaches, and misery, and suffering we endure. But you, Lord, have promised, to be with us as we go through every trial and tribulation; but we must learn to trust you more, and to understand, that all of your promises are true. My brothers and sisters in Christ, the days may be fleeting, but yet we toil on, for we have a goal to reach the promised land, and so, by God’s grace we travel on.
“Every day the Lord himself is near me, with a special mercy for each hour; all my cares he gladly bears and cheers me, He whose name is Counselor and Power. The protection of His child and treasure, is a charge that on Himself He laid: as your days, your strength shall be in measure, this the pledge to me He made.”
Lord, teach us to number our days, and to draw closer to you with each passing moment. Lord, we are thankful for your daily presence in our lives, and for your protection, guidance, and love; may we never take this for granted.
“Day by day and with each passing moment, strength I find to meet my trials here; trusting in my Fathers’ wise bestowment, I’ve no cause for worry or for fear. He whose heart is kind beyond all measure, gives unto each day what he deems best, lovingly its part of pain and pleasure, mingling toil with peace and rest.”
Heavenly Father, we are so thankful, that, you understand what we are going through, and you meet us where we are. You give us such things that even we ourselves are not aware that we need. Teach us, Lord, to never doubt your immeasurable love for us, and to know that you have blessed us with your peace that surpasses all understanding, and the ability to call on you, so that we could find strength and grace in the time of need. Thank you, Lord!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6
‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His Word, just to rest upon His promise, just to know, “Thus saith the Lord!” Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er, Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! Oh, for grace to trust Him more! Lord, I am trusting you with my whole heart because I know that you are faithful, and you have shown me your loving-kindness in so many areas of my life, and I am truly grateful.
“I trust in God wherever I may be, upon the land or on the rolling sea, for come what may, from day to day, my heavenly Father watches over me.” Thank you, Lord!
“I trust in God, I know he cares for me, on mountain bleak or on the stormy sea; though billows roll, he keeps my soul, my heavenly Father watches over me. The valley may be dark, the shadows deep, but oh, the shepherd guards his lonely sheep; and through the gloom, he’ll lead me home, for my heavenly Father watches over me. I’ll trust in God, for, in the lion’s den, on battlefield, or in the prison pen; through praise or blame, through flood or flame, my heavenly Father watches over me.”
Those who go through the desolate valley will find it a place of springs, for the early rains have covered it with pools of water. Psalm 84
Many of us as Christians have set our hearts on the pilgrims’ way, and as we travel along the pilgrim way, instead of it getting easier, the journey seems longer and more difficult. But, should we give up or should we travel on? My brothers and sisters in Christ, if we choose to travel on, we will go through desolate valleys, but we will also find in it a place of springs, for the early rains would have covered it with water. Know that the longer the pilgrim journey, the deeper will be your walk with God. Press on towards the goal!
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. Ephesians 1:3
“I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father, of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you., what are the riches of His glorious inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe.”
Happy are the people who dwell in your house, they will be praising you. Psalm 84:3
“How dear to me is your dwelling, O Lord of hosts! My soul has a desire and longing for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh rejoice in the living God.”
“What child is this who lay to rest, on Mary’s lap is sleeping, whom angels greet with anthems sweet, while shepherds watch are keeping?”
“This, this is Christ the King, whom shepherds guard and angels sing. Haste, haste to bring him laud, the Babe, the Son of Mary. So, bring him incense, gold and myrrh, come peasant king to own him, the King of Kings salvation brings, let loving hearts enthrone him.”
