“Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take him at his word, just to rest upon his promise, just to know THUS saith the Lord! Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him, how I’ve proved him o’re and o’re, Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus, O, for grace, to trust him more.”

On Wednesday, my cat Wanda got a scare and ran away. I looked for her late into the night and did not find her, so cried and I prayed, saying, ‘God, please keep Wanda safe and bring her home.’ I thought my heart would break, especially when I saw Bandit her counterpart walking through the house, sniffing, searching, and crying, and I knew he was looking for Wanda and I had no answer. But I trusted in God, and I went looking for her again Thursday, and as I was driving, I kept praying, saying ‘God, please let me find Wanda.’ And he led me to the right place. I parked my car in the parking lot and got out, and just started calling her name, and she answered. She was way up in a tree, safe and sound. “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus! I’m so glad I’ve learned to trust him! Wanda is safe at home. Thank you, Lord!

“Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness, morning by morning new mercies I see, all I have needed Thy hand hath provided, great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.”

“Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father, there is no shadow of turning with Thee, Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not, as Thou hast been, Thou forever will be. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide, strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine with 10, 000 beside.” All that we are in need of today, Lord, you will provide.

Through the Lord’s mercies, we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not, they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness! Lamentations 3:23-23

Lord, we continue to do what is wrong, even when we know we ought to do what is right. We constantly turn away from you in anger, we complain when things don’t go our way, and we forget to give you thanks for the things that we do have; yet time and time again, you show us your faithfulness, even as we are unfaithful. We are not consumed because of your mercy, and because your compassions towards us fail not, they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness Lord unto us! Thank You, Lord!

Lord, when my faith wavers, when I am prone to wander, when I am tempted to whine and complain, take my heart Lord, take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above.

“Come Thou fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace, streams of mercy never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise; teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above, praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it, mount of Thy redeeming love. Oh, to grace how great a debtor, daily I’m constrained to be, let Thy goodness like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee, prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love, here’s my heart, oh take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above. Here’s my heart Lord, take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above.”

Help us, Lord, not only to worship you from our lips but from deep with our hearts, being humble in our service to you, as we use the gifts and talents that you have given us to use for your glory.

“Lord whose love through humble service, bore the weight of human need, who upon the cross forsaken, offered mercy’s perfect deed. We your servants bring the worship, not of voice alone but heart, consecrating to your purpose, every gift that you impart. Lord, as we worship you, grant us vision, ‘till your love’s revealing light, in its height and depth and greatness, dawns upon our quickening sight.” Thank you, Lord!

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them”. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. Revelations 21:3

“And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more nor mourning nor crying nor pain; they will be no more, because the former things have passed away.  He will swallow up death forever. The Lord God will wipe away the tears from every face and remove the disgrace of His people from the whole earth. For the Lord has spoken.”

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91

“If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” Lord, you have been my dwelling place from age to age, you have been my refuge and my strength, my hope and my confidence rests in you.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had. Romans 15:5

Blessed be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1

“O Master let me walk with Thee, in lowly paths of service free, tell me Thy secret help me bear, the strain of toil the fret of care.” Lead me, Lord, lead me!

Lord, “Teach me Thy patience still with Thee, in closer dearer company, in work that keeps faith sweet and strong, in trust that triumphs over wrong. In hope that sends a shining ray, far down the future’s broadening way, in peace that only Thou canst give, with Thee O Master let me live.” Lead me, Lord, Lead me!

This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in Him. Psalm 118:24

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Today, O Lord, I am thankful for your goodness and mercy towards me, allowing me to see yet another birthday being of sound mind and in good health. Lord, there is so much that I could ask of you today, but I will not, instead I will give you thanks and praise because you did not have to wake me up this morning, but you did. Thank you, Lord!
