But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
“From now on therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view, even though we once new Christ from a human point of view, we know him no longer in that way. Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart.”
For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may receive recompense for what has been done in the body, whether good or evil. 2 Corinthians 5
“We are always confident, even though we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith and not by sight. Yes, we do have confidence, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord, So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please Him. For we all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ so that we may receive recompense for what has been done in the body, whether good or evil.”
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble, the name of the God of Jacob defend you, may he grant you your heart’s desire and prosper all your plans. Psalm 20
“Send us help Lord from your holy place and strengthen us our of Zion. We will shout for joy at your victory and triumph in the name of our God; may the Lord grant all your requests. O Lord, give victory to the king and answer us when we call.”
“Savior, like a shepherd lead us, much we need Thy tender care; in Thy pleasant pastures feed us, for our use Thy folds prepare. Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, Thou hast bought us, Thine we are; Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, Thou hast bought us, Thine we are.”
“We are Thine, do Thou befriend us, be the guardian of our way; keep Thy flock, from sin defend us, seek us when we go astray: blessed Jesus, blissed Jesus, hear, O hear us when we pray; blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, hear, O hear us when we pray.”
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
Today we are honoring our fathers who are present in our lives, and praying for those who have been absent, that God would turn the hearts of those fathers to their children; and for those of us who no longer have fathers who are alive, they live on in our memory and their love continues to nurture us. May God bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, may the Lord lift up the light of his countenance upon you, and give you his peace, today and always. Have a blessed Father’s Day!
The Lord is good to those who wait upon him, to the soul that seeks him. Lamentation 3:25
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Yes, everything is for your sake, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may increase in thanksgiving, to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 4
My brother and sisters in Christ, whatever you are going through tis morning is for your sake, so do not loose heart; for Scripture reminds us in second Corinthians chapter four, that even though it may look like our outer nature is wasting away, that our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For the slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we must look not at what can be seen, but at what cannot be seen, for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.
O God, from whom all good things come, grant that by your inspiration we may think those things that are right and by your merciful guidance do them; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (BCP)
Heavenly Father, we can do nothing in our own might, but all things in your strength, mercifully guide us in all that we do and say, give us the Spirit of Truth, so that in all things we may do what good and pleasing to you, and give us grateful thankful hearts to acknowledge and give you praise for the good things that you provide for us who are so underserving, but because you are merciful. Thank you, Lord!
“Immortal, invisible, God only wise, in light inaccessible hid from our eyes, most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days, almighty, victorious, thy great name we praise.”
“Great Father of glory, pure Father of light, thine angels adore thee, all veiling their sight; all praise we would render, O help us to see, ’tis only the splendor of light hideth thee.”
“O worship the King, all glorious above, O gratefully sing HIs wonderful love, our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days, pavilioned in splendor, and girded with praise.”
“Low at his feet lay your burden of carefulness, high on his heart he will bear it for you, comfort your sorrows and answer your prayerfulness, guiding your steps in the way that is true. Fear not to enter his courts, in the slenderness of the poor wealth you would count as your own; truth in its beauty and love in its tenderness, these are the offerings to bring to his throne .”
