One thing I have asked of the Lord; this is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and seek Him in His temple. Psalm 27:4
“Goodness and mercy all my life shall surely follow me: and in God’s house forevermore my dwelling place shall be.”
“My table Thou hast furnished in presence of my foes; my head Thou dost with oil anoint, and my cup overflows.”
Who God bless no man curse. Whatever God does is irreversible. Trust in the Lord!
“Yea, though I walk thro’ death’s dark vale, yet will I fear no ill; for Thou art with me, and Thy rod and staff me comfort still.”
They confronted me in my day of calamity, but the Lord was my support. 2 Samuel 22:19 “I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
“The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want. He makes me down to lie, in pastures green; He leadeth me the quiet waters by.”
Our God is so good, he provides for us in so many ways, and that is why we should stand on His promises, that, his goodness and mercy for all our lives, shall surely follow us, and therefore, in God’s house forevermore, our dwelling place shall be. Amen!
God is good all the time. His goodness fails not; they are from generation to generation.
“Oh, Your mercy never failed me, all my days, I’ve been held in Your hands, from the moment that I wake up, until I lay my head, oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. You have led me through the fire, and in darkest night You are close like no other, I’ve known You as a Father, I’ve known You as a Friend, and I have lived in the goodness of God. All my life You have faithful, all my life You been so, so good, with every breath that I am able, oh, I will sing of Your goodness O God.”
Blessed is the one You choose and bring near to dwell in Your courts! We are filled with the goodness of Your house, the holiness of Your temple. Psalm 65:4
“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.”
“So, amid the conflict, whether great or small, do not be discouraged, God is over all; count your many blessings, angels will attend, help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.”
Oh God, the hope of all those who put their trust in you, favorably look upon us and bless us with the peace that only you could afford, the peace that will surpass all understanding, the peace that will allow us to handle our conflicts with prayers. Lord, your word reminds us, that if our strength fails in the day of adversity our faith is weak, so give us a faith Lord that will not shrink, though pressed by many a foe, that will not tremble on the brink of any earthly woe. Thank you, Lord!
“When you look at others with their lands and gold, think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold; count your many blessings, money cannot buy, your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.”
It is amazing how we react to others who appear more fortunate than ourselves. We forget that God has apportioned to us blessings designed just for us that no one could add to or take away from. We forget to count the blessings in our lives that money cannot buy, such as the good health, and strength, God affords, and be thankful for those things that we do have, instead of being jealous or covetous of what others have. Count your blessings that money cannot buy, your reward in heaven or your home on high. Hallelujah!
“Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?” Count your many blessings, and give your cares to God.
O God, your compassions never fail and are new every morning. Today, we may be burdened with loads of care, the cross we are carrying seems too much too bear; but we are mindful of your word which asks us to cast all, not some, but all of our cares on you. So today, Lord, we are laying our burdens at your feet, that cross that is too heavy for us to carry is now yours and yours alone, and we are trusting that as our burdens are relieved, our hearts will be lifted up to give you praise and continue to count our blessings. Thank you, Lord!
“When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed, when you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, count your many blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.”
Every day we are faced with so many obstacles, they could so easily cloud our minds, and cause us to lose our focus on God; but my friends, whatever the situation this morning that is causing you to worry, just stop for a moment and reflect on all that the Lord has done for you, just start counting your blessings, count your many blessings, and ev’ry doubt will fly, and you will be singing as the days go by. Trust me, it works. Have a blessed day!
