Now, godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out, and having food and clothing we shall be content. 1Timothy 6:6-8

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and spiritual ruin. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves with many sorrows; but you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience and gentleness, fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life to which you were called, and having confessed a good confession in the presence of many witnesses, I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, that you keep his commandments without spot and blameless, until our Lord Jesus Christ returns.” My brothers and sisters in Christ we brought nothing into this world and we will carry nothing out, so, let us be content with what we have, let us store up for ourselves a foundation of godliness, which will lead to eternal life, and withdraw ourselves from all foolish and harmful lusts which will ensnare us, which will allow us to fall into temptation, and cause us to stray from the faith and bring us much sorrow.
