Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. 2 Corinthians 7:1

“In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that his return is very near, right at the door. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on your guard and stay alert! For you do not know when the appointed time will come.”

If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging, if it is giving, give generously, if God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously, and if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”

“In You, O Lord, I put my trust, let me never be put to shame. Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape. Incline Your ear to me and save me, be my strong refuge, to which I may resort continually. You have given the commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress.”

“See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Lift up your eyes and look about you, all assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come. Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah; and all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the Lord.”

“Joy has dawned upon the world, promised from creation, God’s salvation now unfurled, hope for every nation. Not with fanfares from above, not with scenes of glory, but a humble gift of love, Jesus born of Mary.”

He is adored and he is mighty now to save.
