Because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 1 Corinthians 7:2

“The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. Then, each one will know how to control his or her own body in holiness and honor.”

This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They put their trust in God and accepted the authority of their husbands. 1 Peter 3:5

There is a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world; how she may please her husband. I am saying this for your own good, not to place restrictions on you, but I want you to do whatever will help you to serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible. 1 Corinthians 7:34-35

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, and with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. But the widow who is self-indulgent is spiritually dead, even while she lives. 1 Timothy 5:5-6

Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15

False prophets will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! They are the kind who worm their way into homes, and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins, and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires. Such women are forever following new teachings, but they are never able to understand the Truth. 2 Timothy 3

His words are as smooth as butter, but in his heart is war. His words are as soothing as lotion, but underneath are daggers! Psalm 55:21

Lord, “Set me free and rescue me from the power of my enemies, whose mouths speak falsehood, whose right hands are deceitful. They speak with flattering lips. They say one thing but mean another. Do not drag me away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors while malice is in their hearts.”

Help us Lord, to understand Your Truth which will sustain us in evil times.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22

For when we lived according to the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the Law were at work in our bodies, bearing fruit for death. Romans 7:5

But thanks be to God, we have been changed! The Spirit of Christ now dwells in us, and the life we now live, we live in Christ alone. No more being controlled by the flesh, but by the Spirit of God. We are free! And whom the Son sets free is free indeed! Praise the Lord!

The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Romans 8:7

“Those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”

Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ; and don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. Romans 13:14

“If the Spirit of God dwells in you, then you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. Those who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit, will not seek to gratify the desires of the flesh. Therefore, we must always clothe ourselves with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, to abstain from the desires of the flesh, which war against our soul. Those who belong to Christ Jesus, have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” To God be the glory!

I love God’s law with all my heart, but there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Romans 7:22-23

“I pray that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him, and your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong; and from the inner disposition of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in God’s sight will emerge.”
