“Watch out!” Jesus told them. “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Matthew 16:6

The disciples talked this over and said to each other, “He must be saying this because we didn’t bring along any bread.” But Jesus, aware of this, said, “O you of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread? Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Matthew 16:12

Your boasting about this is terrible. Don’t you realize that this sin is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough? 1 Corinthians 5:6

Do not be misled, Bad company corrupts good character. Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all. 1 Corinthians 15:33-34

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot in the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. Psalm 1

“I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people. Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from any brother who leads an undisciplined life, that is not in keeping with the tradition you received from us.”

Why do the wicked live on, growing old and increasing in power? Job 21:7

“For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness. They seem to live such painless lives; their bodies are so healthy and strong. They don’t have troubles like other people; they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else, they wear pride like a jeweled necklace and clothe themselves with cruelty. But, although the pride of the godless person reaches to the heavens and his head touches the clouds, yet they will vanish forever, thrown away like their own dung. Those who knew them will ask, ‘Where are they?’”

The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. Psalm 34:15

“You have heard, O Lord, the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their hearts. You will incline Your ear.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us humble ourselves before God, let us do right, so that his ears will be open to our cries, so that God will strengthen our hearts to endure the trials and tribulations that we go through. All we need to do, is to wait patiently on the Lord, and he will give us the desires of our hearts.

Cast all your worries and cares on Jesus because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you. He will never let the righteous be shaken.”

You are in a good place if you could just have a praise for God and no complaints. (PFEL)

Where do I begin to praise God today? I feel so good just to be in His presence. I have a smile on my face and a song in my heart. Today, I am feeling spiritually wealthy. I have nothing but praise for God. Lord, look where you brought me from! A few months ago, I was singing but not so sweetly. I now feel free in spirit, mind, and body. I sit here trying to find something wrong in my life to pray for, and I have nothing but praise on my lips. I am so thankful when I remember all that the Lord has done for me. (Excerpt from PFEL)

Lord, I just want to thank you, for all that you have done and continue to do in my life. Every day, please give me more reasons to celebrate you.

“To God be the glory! Great things He has done! So loved He the world that He gave us His Son; who yielded His life an atonement for sin, and opened the life-gate that all may go in. Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Let the people rejoice! O Come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, and give Him the glory! Great things He has done!”

“This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Thank you, Lord!

Today is a new day, filled with God’s blessings. A day I will give thanks to God, for allowing me to celebrate yet another Birthday. Lord, as my years increase, may my knowledge of you be more profound, may the rest of my days be spirit-filled, and may all that I do, be done to bring you honor and glory. Lord, I don’t know what the future holds, but I am living every day prayerfully, expectantly, and thankfully. I am confident O God, that you will accomplish in me the work that you have begun. Where you lead me, I will follow. Thank you, Lord!

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, but especially to those on my FB page. You are forever in my thoughts and prayers.

Who is a mother?  A mother is not only just a biological parent, but those special women who loves, protects, and disciplines a child in their care, they are those mothers who give of themselves to make sure their child has enough. Mothers, today, it’s all about you, it’s all about me. We are the ones who dries the tears of our children through the telephone, we have the magic glue to put broken pieces back together again, we are the ones who always make time for our children, our love is strong enough to encourage our children to be the best that they can be, and the love that we have for our children is sometimes taken for granted, it’s like the air, and they never realize that it’s there, until the supply is cut off. Today, for those of you who have lost your mothers, don’t feel left out, draw down on the good memories, thing about the love you shared, laugh at the memory of the phrases she used to chastise you or encourage you. I am blessed to still have my mother and today, I just want to say, “Thank you, mother, for enduring the unendurable, for making something out of nothing, for giving when your pockets were empty, for loving us when we were totally unlovable, thank you, for doing things with a smile, thank you, for always being there when we I need you and thank you raising us in the right way, but most of all thank you, for being the interlocking change that holds us all together when the going gets rough.” Happy Mother’s Day!
