I have come to set the world on fire, and I wish it were already burning! Luke 12:49

Lord, let your fire burn within us, instill in us a constant hunger and thirst for you, let the desires of our hearts be only for those things that will bring you honor and glory, because the world and everything in it is passing away, but your word lives on forever. May this thought be the constant fire burning within us, and spread like wildfire throughout the earth.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, the glory of the Lord has shone upon us, and shall ever be manifest among us, until the day of his return. Rejoice!

Arise and shine for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples, but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will appear over you. Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Then you shall see and be radiant, your heart shall thrill and rejoice. Isaiah 60

“Lord, by the leading of a star, you manifested your only Son to the peoples of the earth. Lead us who know you now by faith, to your presence, where we may see your glory face to face.” Amen!

“As with gladness men of old, did the guiding star behold, as with joy they hailed its light, leading onward, beaming bright, so, most gracious Lord may we, evermore be led by thee.”

Lord, there is so much darkness around us, let your light perpetual shine upon us and illumine the whole earth.

“Brightest and best are the stars of the morning, dawn on our darkness and lend us thine aid. Star of the east the horizon adorning, guide where our infant Redeemer is laid.”

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1

“Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.”

He has told you, O man, what is good and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humble with your God. Micah 6:8

In Micah chapter 6 and verse eight, God has clearly shown us what he requires of us, but are we willing to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly before Him? Let us commit our lives to serving God, and to please him in word or deed.

What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it? 1 Corinthians 4:7

Many of us have received much blessings in one form or the other, but whether in time, talent or treasure they demand our very best, they require us to be responsible, to use them for God’s glory; for they are gifts from God. We should never be boastful of the what we have accomplished, except to boast in the Lord, who made it possible, for there is nothing that we have received that was not a gift from God.

For to whom much is given, much is required. Luke 12:48

“What can we do for Jesus sake who is so high and good and great?” This is from one of my favorite songs from my Sunday School days, and the older I become, the more I find myself in situations where I ask myself, if I am doing enough for Jesus, who has given me so much. My brothers and sisters in Christ, God does so much for us, but do we ever stop and ask ourselves, what could we do for Jesus? This year, let us make it our aim to do good works for Jesus, works that will bring him honor and glory.

Thank you, Lord, that because of Your Son Jesus, we are now joint heirs with You.

When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children. And because you are children, God sent the Spirit his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!’ So, you are no longer a salve, but a child, and if a child, then also an heir, through God. Galatians 4:4-7

“Eternal Father, you gave you incarnate Son the holy name of Jesus, to be the sign of our salvation. Plant in every heart, we pray, the love of Him who is the Savior of the world, our Lord, Jesus Christ.”

“Love came down at Christmas, love all lovely, love divine, love was born at Christmas, star and angles gave the sign. Worship we the God-head, love incarnate, love divine, worship we our Jesus, he is our sacred sign. Love shall be our token, love be yours and love be mine, love to God and neighbor, love for plea, and gift and sign.”
