For unto us is born this day in the city of David, a Savior who is Christ the Lord. O, come let us adore him, Christ the Lord! Merry Christmas!

O come, all ye faithful joyful and triumphant,O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem, come and behold Him, born the King of Angels! O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

By common confession, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among the nations, was believed in throughout the world, was taken up in glory. Timothy 3:16 My brothers and sisters in Christ, are you still uninformed?

A candle is burning, a candle of LOVE, a candle to point us to heaven above, a baby for Christmas, a wonderful birth, for Jesus is bringing, God’s Love to thee earth.

Let us try our best this season to live peaceably with others, to show love one to another for Jesus is love. Let us prepare to meet Him. Not only do I want to be ready for his coming, I want others to join me also.

Are we keeping watch for the Christ-Child? That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep; and an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. Luke 2:8-9

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you; you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, we should not be fearful of the Good News, but be joyful, for unto us is born a Savior who is Christ the Lord.

Keeping Christ in Christmas. Are you finding this hard to do?

My Advent wreath and candles, the joyous sounds of the carols everywhere, my nativity scene, the beautiful lights reminding me that Jesus is the true light of the world, reading the scriptures regarding Jesus’ birth, and preparing a home for the Christ-child in my heart, are all constant reminders for me, that, Jesus is the reason for the season and therefore, keeping Christ in Christmas. I never say happy holidays to anyone,my greeting is always, ‘Merry Christmas’.

Be mindful of the reason for celebrating this season of joy. Let us not forget that Jesus is the reason for the season.

As we celebrate this season of joy, let us remember the reason for the season; because of Jesus’ birth, we are renewed,we are marked as joint heirs with Him. This season should be celebrated fully to His honor and glory. We are so thankful that you came into this world to save sinners, you love us unconditionally, and you remind us that we should also love one another. So, help us to lend a hand this season to the less fortunate. Help us to remember the poor, the homeless, the destitute, those who are in prisons and hospitals; for God assures us, that, if we offer food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, our light shall rise in the darkness and God’s promises are true. Heavenly Father, we know that we have been blessed in so many ways, and as you continue to bless us, help us to be a blessing to others, help us to continually thank you for the things that we do have and not worry or complain about the things that we don’t have. How would you describe the joy of the Lord in your life?

For me, the joy of the Lord in my life is linked with the hope I have in him, and the peace that he gives me. My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and righteousness, when I think of all that he has done for me, I am humbled and it fills me with his peace, and when I am at peace with God, my heart is filled with joy unspeakable. Thank you,Lord!

“You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.” Hebrews 1:9

The joy of the Lord is fully experienced when we are walking in God’s way, when we abstain from evil and love righteousness. Luke chapter seventeen and verse fifteen reminds us that, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us who love righteousness and hate iniquity help to spread the good news of salvation, so that those who do not know Christ may come to know him and experience his joy.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

My brothers and sisters in Christ, who is the joy of your heart? Who sustains you through troubles and trials? Who fills your heart with unspeakable joy?  God gave us his son who fills us with his hope, his peace and his joy. We should allow no one to rob us of our hope, our peace and our joy which is found in him and him alone. “The Joy of the Lord is your strength!”

A candle is burning, a candle of JOY, a candle to welcome Brave Mary’s new boy, our hearts fill with wonder and eyes light and glow, as Joy brightens gloom like the sunshine on snow.

When we are preparing to welcome a new baby into the home there is much preparation, so too, let us prepare the manger for the Christ-Child, because the joy he brings will be like no other.
