The Lord does so much for us, yet we refuse to return to him. Why?
Many refuse to return to the Lord, because of their rebellious hearts, but, there will come a time when you will heed God’s call, to assemble yourselves together and come, to drawn near to God, that you will look to Him and be saved, for there is no God like our Jehovah, there will surely come a time, when every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, that our Redeemer lives! Praise the Lord!
Are you wholly leaning on God and trusting in His holy word?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, it will be easy for us to say, that, we are wholly leaning on God and trusting in His holy word, when things are good; but, when troubled times comes, then comes our real test of faith and how much trust we put in God. It took me a while to get this, but, I have seen God come through for me when I trusted him, and now, I am singing this song daily, “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word, just to rest upon His promise, just to know, thus, says the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him, how I’ve proved Him o’re and o’re, Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus, O, for grace to trust Him more.” Thank you, Lord!
Are you trusting in God and doing all you can for his glory?
Lord, do good to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart. The Lord will never forsake the righteous and upright in heart. All those who trust in Him will feed on his goodness.
Are you willing to tell the world just what the Lord has done for you?
I will sing to the Lord, in all the earth, I will proclaim the good news of his salvation from day to day, his salvation that was so freely given to me. I will tell the whole world just how he delivered me when I was bound in sin, how he healed me when I was sick, how he provided for me when I was in need. My God is great and greatly to be praise. I will continually tell out my soul, the greatness of the Lord, so that others may come to know him and experience his greatness. Will you?
How many of us accept the chastening of the Lord as being good for us?
Not many of us do. We complain and we blame everyone else for our afflictions, instead of examining ourselves to see what we are doing wrong. The Bible tells us, that, our afflictions do not come from the dust, nor does trouble sprout from the ground, but comes from within us, from the evil desires that lurks within us, and our disobedience towards God, that, we conceive trouble which brings forth evil, and evil, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us not plant what we don’t intend to reap. Let us therefore examine ourselves and return to the Lord, let us accept his chastening with love, and turn to him, so that he may teach us his statutes and show us how to walk in them and live. Praise the Lord!
Do you ask in faith and believe, or do you knock and seek doubtfully?
Know that if you ask in faith and believe, you will receive, but, if you ask, knock, and seek doubtfully, you can expect nothing from the Lord, for he who gives us good gifts as promised, does not go back and forth on his promise, but whatever he said he will do he does. Therefore, if you ask, seek and knock, do so with faith, believing, and whatever you ask, seek and knock you shall receive. Keep the faith!
How long will you continue to turn a deaf ear to God’s pleas to you?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, God has been reaching out to you, begging you to hear his words, to fill your heart with his wisdom, but you have been rebellious. How long will you continue on in your own willful way? If you continue to despise God’s counsel, you shall eat the fruit of your way and be sated with your own devices. It is not too late to turn away from your wicked ways and live. God’s is merciful, but his spirit will not always strive with us. Turn!
What does it mean to taste and see the goodness of the Lord?
When God delivers us, when he provides for us, when he makes a way for us where there is no path, when he heals us from our afflictions when he comforts us in our sorrows, then, we are able to say with confidence that we have tasted and have seen the goodness of the Lord.
Are the cares of this world blinding you to the goodness of the Lord?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, just look around you, just look up from what you are going through and you will see how much God loves you. Everything around us, he created for us to enjoy, but we take it all for granted, but, what if one day, God decides to take it all away – the sun, the moon, the stars of night, the flowers the trees, the birds and the bees? What if God were to take away our friends, brothers, sisters, parents, children or his grace? What would become of us? Lord, give us grateful, thankful hearts each day and show us how to enjoy the beauty of the earth which you have given us. Amen!
Have you chosen the world over God?
I have chosen God over the world and it has been the best decision of my life. Since I have tasted the goodness of the Lord, my eyes are open to his goodness, I am on the receiving end of his blessings, and I am now fully aware of what it means to love God over worldly goods. When you love God, he satisfies your life with good things, but when you love the world, it deceives you and you will eat and still be hungry, drink and still be thirsty, you will never have enough, and will be a slave to sin forever. So what will be your choice, will you love God or the world?
