Let us have pity for our Savior who was so cruelly treated. He was stripped not just of His clothing, but of all His pride.
My innocent Jesus, was tormented, he endured grave sufferings when he was brutally stripped of his garments. His wounds were re-opened when his clothes were torn off his back. What did he do to deserve this cruel treatment? One song-writer said, ‘They poured contempt on all his pride’.
Jesus Is Stripped of His Garments. Imagine having a bandaged stripped from your broken skin hastily. Imagine the suffering of Jesus.
“Let us ponder for a moment how Jesus must have felt as he was violently stripped of His clothes by His executioners. The inner garments adhered to his lacerated flesh and the soldiers tore them off so roughly that the skin came with them.” My God, my God, my soul bleeds for you! Thank you, for all that you endured for my sake.

“Today, is is all too easy to weep for ourselves, blurring our sight of how the wrongs we have done brought the pain and disappointment to our loving Father.” Keep us mindful dear Lord.
“Where we are unable to see anything but out own worries, cares, and problems, we ask you Lord to help us change and to forgive us.”

Jesus’ journey to Calvary was dark, it was long, it was cruel, it was agonizing; and he could have called ten thousand angels, but he did not. He suffered bled and died for our sins. It was his cross to bear. Help us, Lord to bear our cross.
“Beaten and bruised and struggling under the weight of His cross, Jesus turned to them and said, ‘Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, weep instead for yourselves and your children’.”
“How hard is must have been to look on the flogged and bleeding figure of Jesus, as he struggled under the weight of his cross and not weep. Yet, our Lord was not moved by self-pity, but pity for the suffering destined for his people, pity for the suffering man would inflict upon man.”
“Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, let me stand, I’m tired, I’m weak, I’m lone, through the storm, through the night, lead me on to the light, take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.”
“Lord please take our hands in yours and help us up when we fall. We know that if we manage even one small faltering step towards you, in your great love, you will come out to meet us. Help us to come back to you when we fall from your grace, and we ask you to help us change and to forgive us.”
“To fall is human, but to get up again we need divine help. God is ever present to help us who have fallen to stand.”
“Jesus Christ the Man, was exhausted and aching in every limb and sinew and fell for a second time on his way to Calvary, but he gets up and struggles on with God’s help.”

Lord, please give us the spirit of love so that we can help others regardless of their differences.
