Here I am Lord this morning accepting your call. Send me. Whatever you will have me to do I am willing.
“Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him, yet the Lord called Samuel.” He knew him, he chose him. So too, God has chosen you. What will your answer be?
My brothers and sisters in Christ, Gods knows you intimately. Before you and I were born, he knew our assignment, and he reveals it to us in his own time. If God calls you today, don’t hesitate, say, “Here I am Lord, send me”. Many times God gives us an assignment and we think it is too hard, we think we are inadequate, we are afraid of what others will say, so, we run around in circles trying to get away from it, but God always leads us back to where he wants us to be. God will never allow us to fail on his assignment. Whatever God has called you to do he has already equipped, he has outfitted you for every battle that you will face, and he will walk with you, through all of the dark hills and valleys, through fire and water and no harm shall come to you. Jeremiah said he was too young, that he could not speak; Sarah thought she was too old, Jonah was willful and afraid, and Moses and Paul felt inadequate. What will be your excuse? We are reminded in 1Corinthians1:27 that God has chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. Oh, glory be to God!
