“Let the redeemed of the Lord say, so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy and gathered out of the lands.”
From the East and from the West from the North and from the South; they wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way and they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them, then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distress, and he led them forth by the right way. Psalm 107:2-7
“O Lord, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy mountain? He who walks with integrity and practices righteousness.”
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends, those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent; such people will stand firm forever. Psalm 15
The Lord detests people with crooked hearts, but he delights in those with integrity. Proverbs 11:20
I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously. 1 Chronicles 29:17
Be careful that no one lures you with riches. Don’t let yourself be bribed into sin. Job 36:18
“Better is a dry morsel with joy than a house full of feasting with strife. A bowl of vegetables with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate. Better a handful with quietness Than both hands full, together with toil and grasping for the wind.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, we must learn to be content where we are and with what we have.
What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26
“No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them. The ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough. But the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.”
Blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust, who has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood. Psalm 40:4
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who declares lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers. Proverbs 6
“O God, You have taught me from my youth, and to this day I proclaim Your marvelous deeds.”
My mouth will declare Your righteousness and Your salvation all day long, though I cannot know their full measure. I will praise your mighty deeds, O Sovereign Lord. I will tell everyone that you alone are just. Psalm 71:15,16
But it is good for me to draw near to God. I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works. Psalm 73:28
Many, O Lord, my God, are the wonders You have done, and the plans You have for us, none can compare to You. If I proclaim and declare them, they are more than I can count. Psalm 40:5
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. James 1:19
He who is slow to anger is better than a warrior, and he who controls his temper is greater than one who captures a city. Proverbs 16:32
When the Blind beggar heard that Jesus was passing by he said shouted out, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Because of his faith, Bartimaeus was healed.
How many of us are still suffering because we lack the faith to believe, that, whatever we ask of God that we will receive? Jesus asked Bartimaeus what was it that he could do for him, and the blind beggar said without hesitation, “Rabbi, I want to see.” The problem with some of us is that we do not know how to ask of God, and many times we ask amiss, or we ask without believing that he is able. But my brothers and sisters in Christ, there is nothing too hard for God, there is nothing that we could ever ask that he is not able to deliver. Bartimaeus happened to be in the right place, at the right time, and in the right frame of mind and was healed.
