“But I may love you too, O Lord, though you are all-divine, for you have stooped to ask of me, this feeble love of mine. O how I fear you, living God, with deepest, tenderest fears, and worship you with trembling hope, and penitential tears!” This song reminds me of my mom. I just love to hear her singing this beautiful hymn. It fills me with more love for her, and awe and wonders about my God?
Anyone, then, who knows the right thing to do, yet fails to do it, is guilty of sin. James 4:17
Luke chapter twelve and verse forty-seven reminds us, that, “Any servant who knows what the master wants, but isn’t prepared and doesn’t carry out those instructions, will be severely punished.”
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. For He has done great things, He has done great things, He has done great things, bless His holy name!”
Dear Lord, we are so thankful for all that you have done and continue to do for us. Our goodness is nothing apart from you, who daily loads us with benefits. Lord, each day is new, and from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, your name should be praised; and we will praise you and bless your holy name. We will exalt you; we will also remember the vows we make to you and perform them. Lord, we open our hands daily and you fill them with good things; give us grateful, thankful, hearts. Amen!
