“Open your mouth wide and I will fill it with good things.” Thank you, Lord, that when I open my mouth, you fill it with your praises!
“Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord, come and cleanse this thirsting of my soul, bread of heaven feed me ‘till I want no more, fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.”
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and on His Law, he meditates day and night. Psalm 1
This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do. Joshua 1:8
He is your praise and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome wonders that your eyes have seen. Deuteronomy 10:21
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.’ Psalm 126:2-3
Above all, fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things He has done for you. 1 Samuel 12:24
“You have certainly done wrong, but make sure now that you worship the Lord with all your heart, and don’t turn your back on him. Do not turn aside after worthless things that cannot profit you or deliver you, for they are empty.”
By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord, one turns away from evil. Proverbs 16:6
Scripture reminds us, that, “To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the Lord is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.”
Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 26:12
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. This will bring healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.”
If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if anyone walks at night, he will stumble, because he has no light. John 11:9-10
“Then Jesus told them, for a little while longer, the Light will be among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.” Walk in the Light and be led by the Light!
Better the little that the righteous have, than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous. Psalm 37:16-17
My brothers and sisters in Christ, “Do not envy those who do wrong! For better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure with turmoil; and better is a little with righteousness, than great gain with injustice.”
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand, but those who turn to crooked ways, the Lord will banish with the evildoers.”
Have you ever been at a point where you were longing for a change and got overwhelmed in the process and began to question God?
We all have been there; but thanks be to God, for his mercy, and grace, and forgiveness, and the understanding, that we could always count on him. ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take him at his word, just to rest upon his promise, just to know, thus, saith the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him. How I’ve proved him o’re and o’re. Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus, oh for grace to trust him more’.
