Today is International Women’s Day, and this year’s theme is: ‘Women in Leadership’. The color for today is PURPLE, which is the color of dignity and self-respect.

My sisters in Christ, we want to shine in the world, we want to be WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP ROLES, and we could; but first, let us be Proverbs 31 women who knows our worth and our responsibilities, and use our strengths, skills and knowledge to advance ourselves and those around us. As members of your various churches, both your inner and outward appearance should reflect the respected position you hold, as members in the church, and make it your aim to be the voice for those women who cannot speak for themselves, to use your influence in the community to bring about change for women’s rights. Be role-models for the young women. Shine as Proverbs 31 women! (Excerpt from PFEL’s International Women’s Day Message)

Why has your heart carried you away? What has weakened your vision. Job 15:12

Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing, you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty fill His sanctuary. Psalm 96:6

Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty. Psalm 104:1

“We worship you, O Father, because you are our God. When we come before you, let us be filled with thankfulness and praise.”

“O worship the King, all glorious above, O gratefully sing his power and his love, our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days, pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise. O tell of his might and sing of his grace, whose robe is the light, whose canopy space. His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form, and dark is his path on the wings of the storm. Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite? it breathes in the air, it shines in the light; it streams from the hills, it descends to the plain, and sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.”

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4

“Lord, let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day long, and as for me and my house, we will serve you.”

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

Dear Lord, I want your mercy and goodness to follow me all the days of my life, therefore, I will dwell in your house forever, I will daily enter into your gates with thanksgiving and into your courts with praise. Thank you, Jesus!

Blessed are they that dwell in thy house; they will be still praising thee. Psalm 84:4

Many of us have not been able to attend church in the traditional way, we have not been able to dwell in the house of the Lord in the physical sense, and I am hoping that this would drive home the message, that, the places where we worship are just buildings and that we are God’s house. If we understand this, we will also understand, that, if we continue to build up God’s house, to dwell in God’s house, we will continue on in daily worship and meditation, no matter where we are, we will still be praising Him. Give God the glory!

Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Psalm 62:8

“All the way my Savior leads me, what have I to ask beside? Can I doubt His faithful mercies, who through life has been my guide? Heavenly peace divinest comfort, ere by faith in Him to dwell, for I know whate’er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well. All of the way my Savior leads me, He cheers each winding path I tread. He gives me strength for every trial, He feeds me with the living bread; ‘though my weary steps may falter and my soul athirst may be, gushing from a rock before me, Lo, a spring of joy I see.” Thank you, Lord!

Lord, no matter what we are going through, we will stay close to you. (PFEL)

“My faith looks up to Thee, thou Lamb of Calvary, Savior divine; now hear me while I pray, take all my guilt away, O let me from this day be wholly Thine. While life’s dark maze I tread, and griefs around me spread, be Thou my guide; bid darkness turn to day, wipe sorrow’s tears away, nor let me ever stray from Thee aside.”

We never know how big our faith is, until we are tested with a big problem. (PFEL)

“Lord, give us a faith that will not shrink although pressed by many a foe, that will not tremble on the brink, of any earthly woe; a faith that will not murmur nor complain, beneath the chast’ning rod, but in the hour of grief or pain, will lean upon its God. A faith that shines more bright and clear, when tempests rage without, that when in danger, knows no fear, in darkness feels no doubt. Lord, give us such a faith as this, and then, whate’er may come, we’ll taste e’en now the hallowed bliss, of an eternal home.” Thank you, Lord in advance.
