They spoke against God, saying, “Can God really prepare a table in the wilderness?” Psalm 78:19

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we must not willfully put the Lord to the test as the children of Israel did.  For when we were deep down in the valley with no one else to turn to, God has been our comforter, when we were hungry, God prepared tables before us, when we were in deep distress and we cried out to the Lord, he heard and answered our prayers. Therefore, we will not willfully put God to the test because we have proven and seen His works.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25

“I will lift the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me.” Lord, prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, anoint my head with oil and let my cup overflow. Amen!

For the cause of the oppressed and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise, says the Lord. “I will bring safety to him who yearns.” Psalm 12:5

“The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the Lord will protect his people.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, whatever we experience at the hands of the wicked will pass, if we do not lose heart and hope in God. Let us seek His strength, let us seek His presence continually and trust in Him; for weeping will endure for a night our two but joy will come in the morning. Keep the faith!

My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! Psalm 34:2-3

“Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given. I will remember the works of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old. Let us offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing.” What has the Lord done for you? Boast in the Lord! Tell of His wonderful works.

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout to the rock of our salvation! Psalm 95:1

“Praise our God, O peoples; let the sound of His praise be heard. Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”

Light is sown on the righteous, gladness on the upright in heart. Psalm 97:11

“Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous ones, and praise His holy name. Sing a new song to the Lord, for he has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; his holy arm has shown his saving power! The Lord has announced his victory and has revealed his righteousness to every nation! He has remembered his promise to love and be faithful to Israel. The ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God. Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy!”

Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?” Let the light of your face shine on us.

Lord, you have blessed me with so much and you continue to prosper me. You have filled my heart with more joy, than when grain and new wine abound. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. I will offer the sacrifices of righteousness and trust in you, O Lord; for you have given me rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling my heart with food and gladness. Therefore my heart is lifted up and my tongue rejoices. Thank you, Lord!

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 107:1

“Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies. Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the nations. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!”

Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity. Even so, he pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries. Psalm 106:43

“Yet He was compassionate; yes, the Lord forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them. He often restrained His anger and did not unleash His full wrath. He remembered his covenant with them and relented because of his unfailing love. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, Amen! Praise the Lord!  Save us, O Lord our God! Gather us back from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you.”

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:22-23

“The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him! The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Let him sit alone in silence when it is laid on him; for no one is abandoned by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion because of the greatness of his unfailing love; and he does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow. Our fathers disciplined us for a short time as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, so that we may share in His holiness. Let us hold resolutely to the hope we confess, for He who promised is faithful.”
