As a son of the light and of the day, what is your responsibility?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we who are of the light and of the day, must remain sober, and vigilant, we must put on the breastplate of faith and love as a helmet, our hope of salvation. We who are of the light and of the day must be willing to comfort each other and to edify each other just as Christ is doing for us. We must do all things as Christ commands us, so that our whole spirit, soul and body may be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

When the Lord causes his face to shine upon you, praise him!

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation and he has covered me with the robe of righteousness. As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments and as a bride adorns herself with jewels. For as the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord, God, will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.” Praise the Lord!

Will you put your trust in the Lord, or in man?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, man will fail us if we put our trust in him, but when we put our trust in the Lord, he will never fail us. The Lord is waiting for all of us to return to him, to fully trust him; the Lord has good things in store for us, but we have to walk in his ways. How long will we continue to turn his glory into shame, love worthlessness and seek falsehood? Lord, please help us to daily trust in you and you alone so that we could receive your goodness. Help us, Lord!

If you profess to know God, what is required of you?

But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine, that the older men may be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, love and patience; that the older women may be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine and teachers of good things. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age so that we may be qualified for every good work.”

Are you working diligently to present yourself approved to God?

Dear God, help us in our walk with you, so that, we may work diligently to present ourselves approved to you. Lord, if you have brought us to repentance so that we may know your truth, bring us to our senses, so that we may escape the snare of the devil, having being taken captive by him to do his will. Lord, our minds are willing but the flesh is weak, sustain us Lord, through troubled times, show us the imposters who set out to deceive us, to turn us away from doing what we know is good and right. Lord, you know our hearts, that we desire to live, righteous, godly and sober lives, so work in us Lord, make us thoroughly equipped for every good work, in Jesus name we pray. Amen!

Has anyone recently approached you trying to sway you by twisting God’s words?

We are reminded in Galatians chapter 1, that, even if an angel from heaven should proclaim to you a gospel contrary to what God said, that person will be accursed. My brothers and sisters in Christ, we need to study God’s word more, so that when the false prophets come to us preaching anything contrary to what we have learned in Scripture, we will know how to respond to them. Praise the Lord!

Will you sing to the Lord a new song and bless his holy name?

“Tell it out among the nations, the Lord is King! Let the heavens rejoice and let the earth be glad; let the sea thunder and all that is in it, let the fields be joyful and all that is therein. Then shall the trees of the wood shout for joy before the Lord when he comes; when he comes to judge the earth. The Lord will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with his truth.” Amen!

Could you say with confidence this morning, that, the joy of the Lord is your strength?

What is preventing you from shouting from the rooftop, “The joy of the Lord is my strength, that this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!” My brothers and sisters in Christ, if you begin the day with worry, you will end it in weary, but, if you begin the day with prayer, you will end it with praise!

Is your cup full and running over this morning?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, you may not have a full cup this morning, but it is just what you need. If you are content with the little that you do have, God will lead you by streams of living waters that never will run dry, you will never be lost or lonely, because God will be with you. Therefore, be thankful for the blessings bestowed on you today and learn to wait patiently on the Lord.

What is your cry before the Lord this morning? Are you willing to wait patiently for the answer?

Lord, we bring our situations before you each day, but we never stop to listen to hear what you have to say. Lord, teach us how to be still in your presence and await your directions. Lord, there is nothing good that you will withhold from those who love you and trust you, there is nothing that you will give to us that will not be edifying to us, so teach us Lord, to humbly make our confessions to you and wait. Amen!
