“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help, my help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” You will not allow me to suffer, want, or need. Thank you Lord!
“The Lord, my God, my shepherd is, how could I want or need, in pastures green, by streams serene, he safely doth me lead. To wholesomeness he restores my soul, and doth in mercy bless, and helps me take for his namesake, the path of righteousness. Thou hast in grace my table spread, secure in all alarms, and filled my cup and bore me up in everlasting arms. Then surely I can trust thy love, for all the days to come, that I may tell thy praise and dwell, forever in thy home.” Thank you Lord, for I know your promises are true, I just need to trust in you with my whole heart; You are my Shepherd, I shall not suffer, want or need! Praise the Lord!
Then, I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord, and that they shall be my people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart. Jeremiah 24:7
“Repent now everyone of his evil ways and his evil doings, do not go after other gods and serve them, and do not provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, says the Lord, and I will do you no harm, for I know my thoughts that I think towards you, are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope, then you will call upon me and I will listen to you, you will seek me and find me, and when you search for me with all your heart says the Lord, I will be found by you and I will bring you back from captivity.” Praise the Lord! Give us repentant hearts to serve you, oh God, to know you, that you are the Lord, and that we are your people and you are our God!
Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
Are you not thankful that God has a clear view of your heart and therefore will not judge you as man does? God will judge you from the heart, but man judges you from your outward appearance, and that is why so many try to please others by showing them a good face, but, we read in Luke 16:15, He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.” Men will judge you at face value, and they accept you because of your stature, but if only they could see a glimpse of the heart, they too will find you detestable, for Scripture also reminds us that the secret things we do are an abomination unto the Lord, and many still don’t perceive them as wrong, because Proverbs 16:2 reminds us, that, all a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the LORD. The Lord who searches the mind will reward everyone according to their deeds. Lord, the abominable sins which we hide in our hearts, cleanse us from these hidden faults, and help us to do only always, what is pleasing in your sight, so that even when a man judges us wrongly on the outside, that you will judge us from the heart. Amen!
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:8
“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us, then the waters would have overwhelmed us, then the streams would have gone over our soul, but, blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth, our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowler, the snare is broken, and we have escaped. If it had not been for the Lord on our side where would we be? Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
“Oh, come to my heart Lord Jesus, there is room in my heart for thee. Let Thy voice call me home, saying “Yet, there is room, there is room at My side for thee.”
“As longs the deer for cooling streams, in parched and barren ways, so longs my soul, O God, for thee and thy refreshing grace. For thee, my God, the living God, my thirsty soul doth pine, O, when shall I behold thy face, thou majesty divine? Why restless, why cast down, my soul? Hope still, and thou shalt sing, the praise of him who is thy God, thy health’s eternal spring. To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, the God whom we adore, be glory as it was, is now, and shall be evermore.” O, come to my heart Lord Jesus, there is room in my heart for thee.”
Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name, you are Mine, says the Lord, you are precious in my sight. Isaiah 43
It’s so wonderful to know that our Father in heaven knows us by name, we are not just one among the thousands, we are singled out day by day for his blessings, because we are precious in his sight. He said, “Fear not, for I am with you, you have been honored and I love you, therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life, when you pass through the waters I will be with you, and through the rivers which shall not overflow you, when you go through the fire you will not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you, for I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Thank you Lord! I will not fear, for you my God are with me, you are my Jehova Jireh and I will trust you with my whole heart.
Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:4
We tend to get jealous or angry when we see others around us being blessed, but we need to ask ourselves instead; “What does the Lord require of us? What are we doing why we too are not being blessed?” Scripture tells us in Psalm 37, “Trust in the Lord and do good, and you shall dwell in the land and be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” Help us Lord to keep your way, teach us to be patient, so that you will give us the desires of our hearts. Thank you Lord!
Oh, God, how great is your goodness which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have prepared for those who trust in you, in the presence of the sons of men! Psalm 31:19
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who trusts in him! Oh, fear the Lord, all you his saints! There is no want to those who trust him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger, but those who trust in the Lord will not lack anything good. Come, you children, listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the Lord. If you desire long life and to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, trust him, fear him, and he will show you the pathway to life. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Oh taste and see this morning, the goodness of the Lord!
Do not withhold your tender mercies from me, O Lord, let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. Psalm 40:11
“My heart is steadfast O God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing and give you praise. Awake my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn with praise to you O God, I will praise you among the peoples, I will sing to you among the nations, for your mercies reaches unto the heavens, and your truth unto the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, let your glory be above all the earth. Lord, let your loving kindness be upon them who put their trust in you.” Thank you Lord!
