“Give Me your heart, says the Spirit divine, all that you have, to My keeping resign; grace more abounding is Mine to impart, fully surrender and give Me your heart.”
“Give Me your heart, says the Savior of men, calling in mercy again and again; turn now from sin, and from evil depart. Have I not died for you? Give Me your heart. Hear the soft whisper, wherever you are, from this dark world I would draw you apart; give Me your heart.”
He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy. Proverbs 28:13
If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, but if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
The Lord is full of compassion and mercy, slow to anger, and of great kindness. Psalm 103:8,9
Lord, we are so thankful for the reminder in Psalm 103, that, “You are full of compassion and mercy, and that you have not always dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our wickedness; for as the heavens are high above the earth, so is your mercy great upon those who fear you”. Thank you, Lord!
Cast me not away from your presence O Lord, and take not your holy spirit from me. Give me the joy of your saving help again and sustain me with your bountiful spirit. Psalm 51
2 Kings 23:13 reminds us of this, “But the Lord was gracious to Israel and had compassion on them, and He turned toward them because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And to this day, the Lord has been unwilling to destroy them or cast them from His presence.” Thank you, Lord! If you did it for the children of Israel, you will do the same for us.
Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:11
“He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear deceitfully. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
“In you, O Lord is fullness of joy. Make me hear of joy and gladness, that the body you have broken may rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities.”
Lord, too many of us are bowed down under the weight of our sins, we are broken and saddened as a result, and we are not able to be joyful. But Lord, if only you would be merciful to us, hide your face from our sins, and blot out all of our iniquities, then our broken bodies will rejoice and we will be glad in you. Lord, you promised us in John chapter six and verse twenty-four, to ask, and we will receive, so that our joy may be full, and we know that you are a God who cannot lie. Thank you, Lord!
Indeed, I have been wicked from my birth, a sinner from my mother’s womb, for behold you look for truth deep within me, and will make me understand wisdom secretly. Purge me from my sin and I will be pure, wash me and I shall be clean indeed. Psalm 51
The blood that Jesus shed for me, way back on Calvary, O, the blood, that gives me strength from day to day will never lose its power. That blood has washed me white as snow, it cleansed me from every stain of sin and made me whole. Thank you, Lord!
Lord, you are good! Thank you, for all the blessings in my life. This is one of my greatest blessings – my mom. Thank you, Lord!
“New every morning is the love, our weakening and uprising prove, through sleep and darkness safely brought, restored to life and power and thought.” Thank you, Lord, for your new mercies each and every day!
Lord, I know my transgressions and my sins are forever before me, against you only have I sinned, and done what is evil in your sight and so, you are justified when you speak and upright in your judgment. Psalm 51
I acknowledge and confess my sins before you, O Lord, these sins that make you morn. Lord, every time I sin and do what is evil in your sight, I am nailing you to the cross, that same cross you endured for me at Calvary. But Lord, search me and try me, and I stand ready to accept your judgment, knowing that you are justified when you speak and upright in your judgment; but Lord, be merciful unto me and forgive me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Amen!
Have mercy O God, according to your loving kindness, in your great compassion blot out my offenses. Wash me through and through from my sins and cleanse me from my sin. Psalm 51:1-2
“The Lord is full of compassion, slow to anger, and of great kindness, he will not always accuse us or deal with us as we deserve, as far as the East is from the West, so far has he removed our sins from us.” Our God is an awesome God!
