O God, you have given us your Son Jesus who is the light of the world, who will help us to put away from us all works of darkness, and to walk in your marvelous light. Lord, we will no more walk as children of the night but of the day. We will be guided by your light and shine for those around us to see and hear of your goodness. Help us, Lord, so that we may embrace the light, which is Jesus Christ, our Emmanuel.

May the light that you have restored in our lives be illumined to brighten the way for others, and the peace that you afford will be with us always.
