A gullible person believes anything, but a sensible person watches his step. Proverbs 14:15

“The prudent understand where they are going, but fools deceive themselves.”

Dismiss me not from Thy service Lord, but train me for Thy will, for even I, in fields so broad, some duties may fulfill, and I will ask for no reward, except to serve Thee still. (Ira Sankey)

“Lord, speak to me that I may speak, in living echoes of Thy throne, as Thou has sought, so let me seek, Thy erring children lost and lone. Oh, lead me Lord, that I may lead, the wandering and the wavering feet, oh, feed me Lord, that I may feed, Thy hungering ones, with manna sweet. Oh, strengthen me that while I stand, I may stretch out a loving hand, to wrestlers with the troubled sea.”

Keep in step with the Master, whatever betide, though dark be the pathway, keep close to your Guide, while foes are alluring and danger is near, when walking with Jesus you have nothing to fear. Ira Sankey

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we must always try our best to walk closely with Jesus. For even though the road may be rugged, Jesus will be our Guide. Therefore, “Keep step with the Master, do not halt by the way, whatever He commands you, oh, haste to obey, arise at His bidding, press on in His might, while walking with Jesus, you’re sure to be right.”

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. Luke 11:1

So, Jesus told them, “When you pray, say: Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen!”

O Lord, be gracious to us! We wait for You. Be our strength every morning and our salvation in time of trouble. Isaiah 33:2

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.”

God has His way in the whirlwind and the storm; and the clouds are the dust of His feet. Nahum 1:3

God shows up in unexpected places and times in our lives. But do we recognize his presence in these moments? Too many times when God shows up, we are not prepared; because we allow the situations that we are dealing with, to rob us of our peace, and we lose our focus which should be on God, and not the situation. Today, I don’t know who I am talking to, but no matter what you are going through, I want you to fix your mind on God, and not on your situation and you will experience God’s peace that will sustain you, until he shows up. Know that our God is an on-time God, and nothing is impossible for him to do.

I would have fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord.”

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord. Proverbs 21:31

“No wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel will prevail against the Lord! But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!”

Living a God-Dependent life, takes courage.

Lord, I know that your right arm will sustain me as I continue to live my life depending on you. I am confident that you will not allow my strength to fail in times of adversity. Keep me in the palm of your hand and under the shadow of your wings. Thank you, Lord!

Thank you, dear Lord, that because I have learned to live a God-dependent life, I am able to turn pain into praise and heartaches into hallelujahs. Because I am living a God-dependent life, I can put fears to flight, I can trade worries for waiting, and weary for willingness; confident, that all things will work together for my good, because I love God.

Thank you, dear Lord, that because I am living a God-dependent life, I can praise you more and criticize you less. I can thank you in the midst of my struggles. I can give to others even when I don’t have enough for myself. I can bring comfort to others even when my troubles get me down. I can lift you up in praise even after I have been disappointed, and I can thank you for unanswered prayers.
