God will be with us in all the difficult circumstances of life. The rough times should not find us running away from God, but running to God.
He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even youths may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:30-31
God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause his face to shine upon us, that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations Psalm 67:1-2
“Sing to God, sing praises to His name. Let the peoples praise You, O God, let the peoples praise you! Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You shall judge the people righteously and govern the nations on earth.”
The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 29:19
“Strengthen the week hands, and make firm the feeble knees, say to those who are fearful in heart, be strong, do not fear, behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God, he will come and save you.”
O Lord, do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with you. Psalm 125:4
“For You, O Lord, are kind and forgiving, rich in loving devotion to all who call on You. You are good, and You do what is good; teach me Your statutes.”
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers; but the Lord turns his face against those who do evil. 1 Peter 3:12
Do not rob the poor because he is poor, nor oppress the afflicted at the gate, for the Lord will plead their cause, and plunder the soul of those who plunder them. Proverbs 22:22-23
Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:5
My brothers and sisters in Christ, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.”
While the shoots are still uncut, they dry up quicker than grass. Such is the destiny of all who forget God, the hope of the godless will perish. Job 8:13
” Do you not know how it has been from of old, ever since mankind was placed on the earth, that the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the godless momentary?”
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 55:22
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God of our salvation. Though we stumble, we will not be overwhelmed, for the Lord is holding our hand. Lord, sustain us as you promised, that we may live! Do not let our hope be crushed.” Thank you, Lord!
Lord, please keep us safe in these troubled times. I was out in my garden, and this hymn that I learned in Sunday School came to me, and it was so comforting, hope it brings comfort to you also. ‘Loving Shepherd of Thy sheep’.
“Loving shepherd of Thy sheep, keep Thy lamb, in safety keep; nothing can Thy power withstand, none can pluck me from Thy hand. Loving Savior, Thou didst give, Thine own life that we might live, and the hands outstretched to bless, bear the cruel nails’ impress. I would praise Thee every day, gladly all Thy will obey, like Thy blessèd ones above, happy in Thy precious love. Loving shepherd, ever near, teach Thy lamb Thy voice to hear, suffer not my steps to stray, from the straight and narrow way. Where Thou leadest I would go, walking in Thy steps below, ‘till before my Father’s throne, I shall know as I am known.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21
There is so much evil around us, so much of what seems like deliberate acts of injustice, which makes it so challenging to overcome evil with good. But, my brothers and sisters in Christ, vengeance belongs to the Lord, and I am confident, that in his own time, that he will bring about the changes that we are so desperately needing. Weeping may endure for a night or two, but joy will come in the morning. It may seem like that day of rejoicing will never come, but believe in God’s word, that a thousand years in our sight are like a day to our God when it is past. Keep the faith!
