Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4
They confronted me in my day of calamity, but the Lord was my support. 2 Samuel 22:19
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe. Proverbs 18:10
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.”
Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and does them, I will show you what he is like Luke 6:47
“He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us build carefully on the foundation of Christ.
Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I say? Luke 6:46
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Matthew 7:21
For it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before God, but it is the doers of the Law who will be declared righteous. Romans 2:13
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves. James 1:22
Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Matthew 7:24
A wise heart will receive commandments, but foolish lips will come to ruin. Proverbs 10:8
Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart. Psalm 119
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments, his praise endureth forever. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, surely, this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”
Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes and I will keep it to the end. Psalm 119:33 My brothers and sisters in Christ, when we know the ways of the Lord and ask his help to walk in it, we are blessed.
“Teach me Thy way, O Lord, teach me Thy way! Thy guiding grace afford, teach me Thy way! Help me to walk aright, more by faith, less by sight; lead me with heav’nly light, teach me Thy way! When I am sad at heart, teach me Thy way! When earthly joys depart, teach me Thy way! In hours of loneliness, in times of dire distress, in failure or success, teach me Thy way! When doubts and fears arise, teach me Thy way! When storms o’erspread the skies, teach me Thy way! Shine through the cloud and rain, through sorrow, toil, and pain; make Thou my pathway plain, teach me Thy way! Long as my life shall last, teach me Thy way! Where’er my lot be cast, teach me Thy way! Until the race is run, until the journey’s done, until the crown is won, teach me Thy way!”
Lord, “Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things and revive me in your way.” Psalm 119:37
“Direct my steps by your word and let no iniquity have dominion over me. Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep your precepts, make your face to shine upon your servant and teach me your statutes. Rivers of waters flow from my eyes, because men do not keep your law. I cry out to you with my whole heart. Hear me O Lord; I will keep your statues. I cry out to you, save me and I will keep your testimonies. Psalm 119
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the way of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with the whole heart! Psalm 119:1,2
Lord, I desire to know your way. “I will meditate on your precepts and contemplate my ways, I will delight myself in your statutes, I will never forget your word. Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and keep your word. Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things from your law.”
