But let the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; let them also be merry and joyful. Psalm 68: 3

“Sing to God, sing praises to his name; exalt him who rides upon the heavens; Yahweh is his name, rejoice before him. Father of orphans, defender of widows, God in his holy habitation! You sent your gracious rain O God, upon your inheritance, you refreshed the land when it was weary; your people found their home in your goodness O God, you have made provisions for the poor. You give the solitary in homes and brings forth prisoners into freedom, but the rebels shall live in dry places.” Praise the Lord!

The Lord is for me; I will not fear; what can man do to me? Psalm 118:6

“Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; more than the sounds of many waters, than the mighty breakers of the sea, The Lord on high is mighty. The floods have lifted up, O Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice, The floods lift up their pounding waves.” To God be the glory!

“I will joy in the God of my salvation, yes, I will rejoice in the Lord.”

“I will mention the loving-kindness of the Lord and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord has bestowed on us, and the great goodness towards the house of Israel, which He has bestowed on them according to is mercies, according to the multitude of His loving-kindness.”

Be anxious for nothing, but by prayer and supplication and thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Philippians 4:6

Heavenly Father, you remind us in scripture to be anxious for nothing, to be content with what we have and in whatever state we are in; but there are times, when instead of being content with what we have, we get anxious over the things we cannot control, and envious of others’ possessions. Instead of thanking you for what we have, we complain and criticize, we grumble and we fuss, we lose heart and get discouraged, instead of exercising our faith in you. Today dear Lord, bless us with contented spirits, quiet the anxieties within us, quench our desires to covet, the need to lust after things of the flesh, and instill in us prayerful and thankful hearts. Remind us, that, you oh God, knows our needs before we ask and that you will grant them according to your will, so give us the patience to wait. Amen!

Should we be surprised at the troubles we are going through?

Scripture reminds us, that, we should not be surprised at what we have to go through, and to not think it strange, or feel like we are the only ones dealing with such situations, but to know that our brothers and sisters around the world are dealing with the same things. But, to humble ourselves, to cast all of our anxieties on Him, to discipline ourselves, and to stay alert; because our adversary the devil  is prowling around seeking someone to devour; but know that, if you persevere, if you endure, that after you have suffered a little while that God will restore, support, strengthen, and establish you. Praise the Lord!

“Forever O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven, Your faithfulness endures to all generations.”

“I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have given me life. I am Yours, save me. Revive me, according to Your loving-kindness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.”

What are you going through this morning?

Know that you are not alone, trust in the Lord, and confide in Him. “Deliverance He affords to all who on His succor trust. While hungry lions lack their prey, the Lord will food provide, for such as put their trust in Him, and see their needs supplied.” Lord, have your own way in our lives today, have your own way! Amen!

Your weeping may endure for a night or two but your joy will come in the morning. Keep the faith!

Just like the children of Zion, we will be in a trance, like we are dreaming, when we see all that the Lord has done for us. Our God is a God who cannot lie, he promised that those who sow in tears shall reap with joy and he shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. Praise the Lord!

Are you ashamed of your dependency on God?

I will never be ashamed of His unfailing love. Before I was born He knew me, He predestined great things for me. Therefore He is my hope and my confidence from my youth.

Does the path you are walking fill you with fear?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, if the path we are walking fills us with fear, stop, take a look around, for Jesus is near. We fear the dark pathways, the shadows of night, the foes that surround us, the perils and plights. But God’s love surrounds us each day and each night, our sorrows to comfort and our battles to fight. (Another Jewel Greer Original)
