Thank you Lord, for bringing me all this way. For 52 years you have carried me and I have nothing but praise for you on my lips. Thank you, for another year of life and a life now dedicated to serving you the rest of my days. Happy Birthday to me!

Today is a day that I will never see again. God made this day especially for me, so today, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Lord, for the many times you tried to steer me in your way, and I walked in my own willful way, for the many storms you have brought me through, for the many setbacks intended to steer me in the right way, for all the joys you have given me, especially the joy of my beautiful daughter, for the doors you have opened for me, for the attacks of enemy fire that you blocked, for the blessing that you have bestowed on me that I don’t deserve, for my family and friends, for life, for health, for food, for a roof over my head, and mostly for the gifts that you have given me that I am using in your service; I owe it all to you. Thank you, Lord. Today I will celebrate my Birthday with family and friends and I will share with them just some of the good things that you have done and continue to do in my life. I am truly grateful for another year of life. God has put a smile on my face, a song in my heart and a spring in my step, and I now ask him to keep me faithfully in his way.

“Who will go and bind the broken heart? Burdened with grief and heavy in its woe? Longing to find in life some better part; Who, who will go to bind the broken heart? Lord, here I am send me!”

“Who will go to wipe away the tear; from eyes long used to sorrow’s briny tears? To comfort those who stand beside hope’s bier. Who, who will go to wipe away the tear? Lord, here I am send me! Who will go to seek the lamps that stray? To lift the fallen where he lies so low; into the sunlight of the heavenly way. Who will go to seek the lambs? Lord, here I am send me!” Whenever I’m feeling blue, the songs of Ira Sankey brings me through.

Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Psalm 24:7

“This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous will enter through it. For these are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates. They are Blessed!”

I will mention the loving-kindness and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord has bestowed on me. Praise the Lord! Isaiah 63:7

“But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. This is the Spirit He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” The Lord has done so much for us, let us never forget to give Him thanks and praise.

You shall no longer be called Forsaken, nor shall your land any more be called Desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah and your land Beula; because the Lord delights in you. Isaiah 62:4.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, “Arise and shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” For too long you have been called Forsaken and Desolate, but no more, because the Lord delights in you. The Gentiles shall see your righteousness and all the kings your glory, you shall be called a new name which the mouth of the Lord will name. You shall be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. Praise the Lord!

Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed. Isaiah 61:9

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall be joyful in my God. For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness. As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride herself with jewels; so too the Lord will cause His righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.” Praise the Lord!

“How could I curse whom the Lord has not cursed? And how should I denounce whom the Lord has not denounced? Whom God has blessed none can reverse it!”

“God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and will not do? Has He spoken, and will not make it good?” My brothers and sisters in Christ, trust in the Lord and do good; many will try to entice you with their silver and gold, but do not go beyond the word of the Lord to do good or bad of your own will, but, do as the Lord commands. Lean not to your own understanding, for whom has God has blessed no man can curse. Many will rise up against you to curse you, but God will put words of praise in their mouth, so that instead of a curse, blessing will spring forth. Praise the Lord!

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart exults in Him, and with my song I shall thank Him. Psalm 28:7

“But I have trusted in Your loving-kindness O God; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out our heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His loving-kindness.”

“Why do you boast in evil O mighty man? You do not make God your strength but trust in the abundance of your riches, and strengthen yourself in wickedness. Have you forgotten that the goodness of God endures continually?”

Your tongue devises destruction; like a sharp razor working deceitfully, you love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking righteousness, you love all devouring word; you deceitful tongue, God shall likewise destroy you forever. But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the loving-kindness of God forever and ever. I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it and I will wait on Your name for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones. Psalm 52

Let us never miss out on an opportunity to make a difference in the life of at least one person we meet every day.

Lord, I want to be like the sunshine to brighten someone’s day, let me never be too busy to stop and help someone along the way. May I use the gifts you’ve given me in ways that are pleasing to you, and never be ungrateful, but loving, honest, and true. I want to be like a river running to and fro, only pausing to refresh someone with my ever cooling flow. I want to be like the sunset with its calm effective shades, seemingly saying to someone, I’ll be back with brighter rays. (Another Jewel Greer Original)
