“If you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him, then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you.”
“The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.”
“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God, and you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.”
“You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to.” What awesome promises!
Obeying God is the key to unlock his blessings in our lives, while disobedience brings dire consequences. Help us, Lord!
“Those who obey the Lord will have all they need. Those who obey the Lord will lack nothing good. The Lord will guarantee a blessing in everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he swore he would do.” We serve a God who cannot lie.
There are abundant blessings for those who choose to be obedient to God.
“God will richly bless Israel’s obedience to the covenant. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.” These same blessings promised to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 28, also applies to us.
“By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.”
If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4
“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so, little ones to him belong, they are weak, but he is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.”
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7–12.
“Oh, happy day, Oh, happy day, when Jesus washed my sins away! He taught me how to watch and pray, and live rejoicing every day; Oh, happy day, Oh, happy day, when Jesus washed my sins away!”
“Now I have resurrection power living on the inside Jesus, You have given us freedom, no longer bound by sin and darkness, living in the light of Your goodness, You have given us freedom.” Thank you, Lord!
“Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing; eternal hallelujahs, to Jesus Christ the King! He is the Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find, none other is so loving, so good and kind.” He loves use even when we are unlovely.
Let us rejoice my friends in the risen and ascended Lord, basking in the hope that he gives to us who believe. Let us seek while he may yet be found, because there will come a time when many would try to find him but won’t be able to.
“In all the world around me, I see His loving care, and though my heart grows weary, I never will despair; I know that He is leading, through all the stormy blast; and the day of His appearing will come at last.”
We have so much to look forward to. That second coming when Christ will make his triumphant return to claim his own. I want to be ready. Help me, Lord, to stay the course. Sometimes the road we travel on will be dark and rugged and we may grow tired, but we must struggle on, knowing that we are not alone, for he walks with us and talks with us, along life’s narrow way.
“I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today. I know that He is living, whatever men may say. I see His hand of mercy; I hear His voice of cheer; and just at the time I need Him He’s always near. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.”
Isn’t it amazing to know that whenever we need Jesus, He is always nearby! But too many of us still do not trust his hand of mercy to reach out and hold it, and we do not know how to be still in His presence to hear his voice of cheer. But my brothers and sisters in Christ, I am so glad that I serve a risen Savior and no matter what others think, I will never lose my faith, because Jesus Christ has never failed me yet, He is always faithful, and even when I fail him, he forgives me. Thank you, Lord!
