Do you want others to see Christ in you?

Others could only see Christ in you if you are truly committed to God. They will know you by your conduct, by your character and by your conversations. All of us who have been saved, have a story to tell, it’s a story of God’s goodness, his mercy and his grace, don’t be afraid or ashamed to tell it to all who will hear. They too will want to know about your God, my God, who is so awesome, and in time come to know him and claim him as their God.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, what are you willing to give up in exchange for Jesus?

Do not love the world, neither the things that are in it, for whoever loves the world does not have the love of The Father in him. Friendship with the world means enmity against God. Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. So today, let us pledge to surrender all to Jesus, all of the world’s goods and desires and cling to Jesus. Let us keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Let us think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. Because the world and all that is in it are passing away, and only the things of God will remain. What will you give up in exchange for a life with Christ?

Will you sit still in God’s presence so that you may hear Him?

“Master, speak! I am listening. Speak and make me ready, when Thy voice is truly heard, with obedience glad and steady, still to follow every word. I am listening, Lord, for Thee; O, speak to me! Speak to me the least and lowest, let me not unheard depart.” Amen!

Lord, could I ever get tired of praising you?

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding is unsearchable.” If then, my God, never gets tired of me who is so tiring, me who is so rebellious, does he not deserve of all my praise? Indeed! I could never get tired of praising my God, because he will never get tired of loving me. Thank you, Lord!

What will you do for Jesus today, who has done so much for you?

Lord, I will offer up songs of thanksgiving to you. I will enter your gates with thanksgiving and come into your courts with praise. I will pay my vows to you. I will bless your name at all times. I will do all things for your honor and glory. I will continue to trust you with my whole heart, for you have done and continue to do so much for me. Thank you, Lord!

Will you return to God and confess your sins and ask for his forgiveness?

Lord, I acknowledge my sin to you and my iniquity I cannot hide from you. Have mercy on me O God, according to your loving-kindness, blot out my offenses, wash me through and through from my sins, for I know my transgressions and my sin is ever before me, therefore, create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right spirit within me, because I know, that, he who covers his sins shall not prosper, but, whoever confesses and turns from them will obtain mercy. Praise the Lord!

Will you magnify the Lord with me this morning?

Yes! Magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together. Our soul will make its boast in the Lord; the humble will hear it and rejoice. We will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.

What is it that you think that you are facing that is not common to the rest of us?

Nothing that you and I are going through is uncommon and that is why Scripture reminds us, that, we should be content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when we are weak, God is strong and that his grace will always be sufficient for us. Praise the Lord!

What is the weakness or insufficiency you experience when called into God’s service?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, when God is ready to use us, there is nothing and no one who could stand in his way. With every weakness or insufficiency you experience, God will cause his face to shine upon you, he will work in mysterious ways to prove to you, just how awesome he is, and when you do, he will put his words in your mouth to deliver to those around you, he will use you to bring honor and glory to his name.

Will you continue to find excuses or be afraid when God calls you out for His purpose?

The Lord who formed us, is knowledgeable regarding the particular services and purposes he intended for us, and in his own time, he makes us fit for his service. But, too many of us like Jeremiah finds excuses. We must never be afraid to step out in faith to do God’s will, for he reminds us, that, “They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
